  1. junction 21 or 21a, can't remember which one now, whichever comes 2nd!
  2. thought i'd pop this up as a reminder http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=244&day=2006-4-10&c=1 maybe one day Ray will do what he keeps saying he's going to & edit the event to let us show who's coming along
  3. cheers, will do Nic, after i get a response from my initial questions i've sent to them i've also noticed Steve, that the picture is the same in all their auctions for intercooler kits for different makes/models so i wouldn't go off what the pic shows anyway!
  4. think i'll mail them with some questions and request for some pics etc shall update when i hear back from them
  5. anyone already bought one of these from here? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Toyota-Supra-JZA80-Front-mount-intercooler-with-piping_W0QQitemZ8049608207QQcategoryZ72205QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem is it still 'get what you pay for' or do we have sufficient people that have gone the cheaper route to say it's worthwhile?
  6. see here http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=1055 and here http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=202
  7. i'm currently considering the exact same setup decided on this one with it being well priced, but also adjustable height which i wouldn't mind trying with having a very low bumper and also being able to have it on SOFT for general driving & then HARD with the press of a button for when i feel like having a play or when it goes to Elvington etc the Flex seems significantly more expensive but for what i'm not sure, they appear to only be pillow ball upper mounts, which i've read isn't necessary & other than that the text just appears to say that the height & damper adjustments are completely seperate, but i'm not sure what advantage this gives MKIVStore currently have a very good deal on at the mo, which includes free fitting of the Super Streets

i have no idea what or where it is though so unless i had fool proof instructions it's a job for the mechanic cheers for the update Nick, i'm going to try and get in touch with the mechanic this week or next to discuss the tensioner, along with getting the autobox & diff oil changed (have you done these?) i wish mine was that easy! i've had the dash off to see if i can see anything behind etc, changed the bumper, removed the front reinforcement bar! it's definitely something connected to the engine in some way, imo

    Idle Vibration

what different effects would this have if you were in Park or Neutral? and mine only seems to be at around 700 RPM, any lower it's fine - anyone else have this same pattern? i'm still thinking plugs at the moment
  13. anyone know of the lineup for this year yet? had a look on the Straightliners site but it's pretty pap & looks well out of date looking forward to having another go at the 1/4 mile, but without torrential rain this time! and that top sspeed run ofcourse

ok, so have you done any modifications that intervene with electrics at all? i thought this originally & took the sub/amp out the other week to see if it made any difference, which it didn't. i replaced the battery with the recommended Halfords one as soon as i got the car as the one it came with was dead i've also fitted a Blitz turbo timer & a couple of mechanical gauges (wired up so they light up with the headlights etc)

    March 20th.

just thought i'd resurrect this one, since i've been told there's some steak in the fridge for tomorrow
  16. Mascrat Manor is a place just off the M6 nr Warrington, where there's a monthly jap car meet we try and get to it's on the 2nd monday of everything and should be in the calendar weather was a bit poo this month so only a few turned up but hopefully next month will be the usual 10 strong attendance at least
  17. do you not also have the luxury of adjusting the damping force now though, as well as the ride height if it's a bit hard?
  18. no doubt they look good, even with the stock suspension too, but you're gonna loose the handling even more & pay through the nose for tyres!

there's one for sale here matey http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=61561 collection only though if he hasn't sold it yet he may be persuadable to mail it? they don't weigh very much
  20. looks yummy is that decals just above the side vents in front of the rear wheels? look quite good there i think - what do they say?

initially, i was convinced it was something to do with something along the line of the transmission, e.g. torque converter, autobox, autobox fluid, flywheel etc. since it is absolutely fine when you put it into Neutral or Park

if you disconnect the negative terminal on the battery i believe this will reset the ECU so that your fuel maps will start again, but someone may correct me on this my car warm idles at approx 700 RPM, no hunting on rare occasions when it does this thing where it idles lower when cold & warm it idles more like 500 RPM and there is no vibration at this RPM it's almost like there's a slight miss, which is why i'm keen to change the plugs soon, in case it's the gap that's wrong or something which it doesn't like at that particular point on the rev range

i have this exact same problem & have so far done the following to find out the cause, with no joy as yet: - fitted an improved earthing kit, to ensure that the earth connection is not to blame -removed my amp/sub to ensure that this isn't draining the power - had my engine/gearbox mounts inspected by Toyota - swapped my front bumper & removed the front reinforcement bar to find out whether this was what was vibrating my next plans are to try these: - clean the IACV, as i have also noticed recently that it will ever so slightly drops the revs a little lower when coming to a standstill and then they pop back up again to where they should be & every now and then the car will have a lower idle from cold & once warm - get a new set of plugs (they're coming up to being due anyway) I have also noticed that mine only seems to do this around the 700 RPM mark. if it's slightly higher or lower, there isn't the same obvious vibration i've taken to popping it into Neutral by habit now whenever i'm at a junction! interested in anyone else's investigations & results
  24. my one of these is supposedly arriving tomorrow http://uk.insight.com/apps/productpresentation/index.php?product_id=TOYA04OKH&nbs_search=K%3Dm400 bit fancy, but work are paying and it's to replacement my development PC at work, as well as be a nice little gadget for browsing the internet in the lounge, on the toilet, in the garage, etc etc
  25. Mike, Only just read this & realised it's tomorrow! doubt i'm gonna make it down as i've got loads on this week with work etc I think i got there for about 6.15pm last month & i parked right outside the front door next to my mate's White R34 if you recall? There was hardly anyone about and so we ended up having some tea while we were waiting for everyone to arrive. Have a good night all, i'll hopefully catch you next month Wes
