    Idle Vibration

HyperSR's diagnosis was a driver's side engine mount i've opted to get both replaced & am now waiting for them to arrive before i'll be dropping it back to them for fitting in a week's time i should have it back & confirm whether it sorted the problem by the 18th October, i hope
  3. advertising on behalf of a friend of mine http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/101658.htm he is willing to take £5.5k any questions, please contact Dan (details on the PistonHeads advert)

    Idle Vibration

cheers Chris, are you referring to 'very stiff' engine mounts? as in it may not be a good idea to upgrade to the stiffer TRD mounts if it does turn out to be the mounts, since i've got an aftermarket exhaust on there? i don't anticipate going much further than an uprated intercooler with mine from BPU so didn't really see much point in uprating the mounts anyway, but HyperSR had mentioned them as a possible worthwhile upgrade if they were getting replaced

    Idle Vibration

are you asking me Chris? if so, then no it was a cat back stainless, then decatted (by your good self - at the time you also felt the vibration & thought the engine mounts looked ok at a brief glance, but it has got more regular & worse since then)

    fmic on an n/a

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intercooler the intercooler is used to cool down the air *after* it's been through the turbo(s), which heat it up, therefore you have no need to run it through an intercooler as it's only just come through the air filter anyway, which was the outside temperature (unless your air filter is sucking in air from the engine bay) you want to look into Nitrous perhaps?

    Idle Vibration

mine also is at it's worst in gear (Drive, 1 or 2 on the autobox) hence why i regularly drop it into Neutral at junctions etc it seems to have got worse/happens all the time, over time, as opposed to being a little less frequent to start with something i've just thought of, which i never tried before handing it over to HyperSR is whether it does the same when in Reverse (whether that would make a difference anyway) another i was told to check was the idle tensioner setup, since it only seems to be noticeable when it's at warm idle

    Idle Vibration

my car is in with HyperSR at the moment, i left it with them on Saturday I'm hoping to receive a call in the next couple of days with the diagnosis. I'm also hoping it isn't something too expensive Give me another week & i should have it back (or at least diagnosed) by then - Chris @ HyperSR's first reaction was that it was a possible engine mount, but that was literally from just sitting in the drivers seat & showing him the problem i will keep you posted with any progress...
  9. i can't make the 21st with being at a mate's wedding reception as far as the car parks, the only reason there was a few questions asked by the police last year was because CruiseBlackpool had also organised their illuminations cruise on the same night & had pretty much filled one of the car parks a couple of rows of Supras on Morrisons shouldn't have any trouble - it ain't like we rev our engines at each other or start burnouts etc

    Idle Vibration

funny this should get resurrected, i replaced my plugs a couple of weeks ago at a service & have put up with it till now it's booked in with HyperSR.com next week for them to diagnose & hopefully sort once & for all
  11. he did know it was you then

    Auto LSD

cheers jezzybabes. i found this in an old thread though regarding the TRD LSDs: in all honesty i'm just considering this as a potential upgrade at the moment, but wanted to clarify whether this was an option i've got a vibration problem that i want to get diagnosed & fixed before i do anything else to my wallet drainer Supra
  13. now on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&item=250027321108&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

    Auto LSD

Jezzybabes, do you know if this would be a straight swap with my facelift 96 non LSD diff? and is it a simple enough job to unbolt & replace with the new one? i've read that this can transform the drive of the car dramatically & mine unfortunately doesn't have an LSD according to the VIN plate
  15. i've just linked this post with you being the guy stood with Paul! apologies for not introducing myself mate, when i said 'are you Paul?' you should have said 'no i'm Jonny5' instead of 'no he's Paul'
  16. lol, i was just leaving in my silver supra & you were just coming in some woman was directing us through & i gave the thumbs up as i drove passed
  17. not at all i was just pointing out the hall of fame for you in case you hadn't seen it they seemed to suggest it was just top speed runs at the briefing in the morning? don't think i'll make it with other commitments this month. i was hoping they were going to do them on sunday i saw the blue one leaving, other than that & LeonV's i only saw the silver one that Hyper had brought along to advertise
  18. John, was it you i waved to on the way out?
  19. i've submitted to the hall of fame here your 13.25 will sit nicely just above it Robbo, is your bf's Liner a white one? If so, i was behind it a couple of times, looked well. Obviously goes well too! You should have brought your Supe along, we were a bit of a minority
  20. might be an idea to get a ride in someone's car that is around the power output you're looking for? i know you mentioned today about your single turbo T5 that seemed to have lag but when i went in GarethEves's single turbo i can't say i noticed it much!
  21. nice one jurgen, especially when you were hoping for 12.5s when we first got there! those drag tyres should make a big difference with the traction, so much so, you might have to try it with the lower boost to start with!! and then listen to your clutch/gearbox take the abuse instead of the tyres i've got a really short vid of your first launch of the day but that's it i'm afraid (i'm not sure if it's small enough to email but i'll give it a go, or host it up somewhere) - one of the lads who came down with us might have something so i'll check with him that old Evo was absolutely rapid eh? it was Hyper Sports & Racing's drag car
  22. haha you beat me to it, posting the Was It You where are you from? i haven't seen it about before yours too was lookin great - was that a FMIC i spotted too? we were just on our way back from racing at Elvington did you see that Audi RS6? now that was bloody quick! i went past him, we both floored it & he was STUCK to my bumper :O
  23. Mark, got a new best time today at Elvington need to get mine in before LeonV does & beats it! Same details as before, just a nice dry strip today cheers, Wes edit: does my 60ft time also get me in the top times for that too?
  24. nooo don't mention the rain!! you know our luck with Elvington!
