  1. I had mine blanked off for fault finding on a J-spec TT at 1.2 bar with an Apexi filter and it was very quiet too.
  2. The O2 sensor is easy to get to from above with a socket and extension bar. The ICV is a bit fiddly though, some ratchet spanners come in handy.
  3. Keep an eye on it in terms of getting too heavy. If they can't move around or stand up the ribs can get distorted and the lungs crushed.
  4. I planned to do that but I don't think I've ever turned the boost down from 1.2 since I fitted it (about three years ago)!
  5. I've got a Greddy Profec B Type II which I like. They're pretty cheap new as well.
  6. My monitor was 1280x1024 which is standard for non-widescreen. I don't think you get 1080p resolution on any TV or monitor smaller than 32 inch. The 8800GT runs Blu-ray and the desktop at full res but games like COD5/crysis/assassins creed are unplayable due to the low FPS.
  7. Cheers for that, I thought they must be pretty similar. I do play games on the PC (I don't have any consoles) so I don't mind spending £250 on a card if it's going to run everyghing that's out just now (and for a while in the future) maxed out.
  8. I thought the exact opposite was true. In the tests I've seen none of the nVidia cards come close to the fps of the 4870X2 at high res except the GTX295 which is around £400.
  9. Now I'm running my PC throught the TV at 1080p my 8800GT is stuggling a bit so I've been having a look at some graphics cards. I'm interested in the 4870X2 but I don't understand the wild differences in prices. This one branded as an XFX is £240 whereas this one branded as a Gigabyte Radeon is £370. I know these are two different retailers but it it not essentially the same card? Why would some be worth far more than others? Dabs' price for the XFX is still £50 cheaper than the Radeon one.
  10. I recently bought a set of four Toyota Bilsteins from Paul Whiffin but I only needed a rear so the fronts are up for sale. I paid £130 for all four and just looking to break even so £65 plus £15 P&P.
  11. First cat is nearest the engine. It will probably pass with just the second in. What age is the car?
  12. What have I seen that Debbie Gibson in before, she looks familiar? That looks as bad as snakes on a plane which I found myself watching bits of the other night!
  13. J-spec TT. I've been quoted £152.56!!
  14. Yeah, it goes back and forth. I was under the impression is should be between 0.5 and 0.7V though?
  15. Can't wait! Looking forward to Bioshock 2 even more though.
  16. Well that's my brakes finished so on to the idle... Over a year ago my car was doing this at warm idle (usually when the car had been restarted while still warm). I changed the idle air control valve which made no difference. When it was at the garage for it's mot (Feb 08) they ran a diagnostic and found the O2 sensor wasn't showing up so they replaced it with a new universal one. The car seemed absolutely fine for a couple of weeks but then it started again and progressively got worse until it began running poorly at low revs. There was also a smell of fuel when the windows were open. I barely used the car for the rest of the year due to various reasons so never got round to looking at it till now. I checked the voltage between OX1 and earth and didn't get a reading at all so I removed the sensor and it looked like this: I let it soak overnight and cleaned it up this morning. Now it's back in the idle seems to be fine but the voltage over OX1 to earth when warm is all over the place reading anything between 0.25 and 0.85 volts. Am I right in assuming the state of the sensor is more likely an effect of another problem rather than the cause? The car's literally only done around 500 miles with it in. If so what should I be looking at?
  17. It might. I think it was Getrag on here that still had both cats but had a free flowing cat back exhaust and he was getting boost spike until he fitted a restrictor ring (along with the two cats).
  18. That's all you can do really apart from keeping it warm. There's various makes of kittten replacement milk or powder to mix up, your local vet should have this in stock along with feeding bottles/syringes. You'll need to do this every hour or so though, there's full instructions on the side of the box. To be honest, if it's struggling as badly as this after a couple of days I wouldn't be overly optimistic about it's chances unfortunately.
  19. I get this too. It used to have to be pretty long before it got a ginger tint but now it seems to be a bit red after four or five days
  20. I left Sky this year mainly due to the poor attitude and tone of voice of the woman I spoke to. Complete contrast to the really helpful bloke I spoke to the year before.
  21. The Halfords one is around £65 I think
  22. My car with double decat and Nur spec would have come close in TTC at idle. It was annoyingly loud!
  23. Are you sure you've got the right size of bolts? It's a bigger thread than it looks. Mine were stuck on solid but came off no bother when I used this method.
  24. If it was any other colour (except white) my girlfriend would probably have bought this.
