  1. Such a tragic loss, i'm still taken back by what has happened if truth be said. Pray that Vikki and her son's Luca and Brett get throught these very difficult time's, they have the support of the club and everyone of it's members, we're all thinking of you and your son's, our thought's are with you:(
  2. I think that would be a great idea Homer, keep us posted bud.
  3. Give all our condolences to his wife and kids, our thought's are with them.
  4. Not everyone can take the smile from a Ferrari/Lambo driver and turn it into a frown:) Going fast round corners isn't for me, especially on our roads.
  5. News like what we've just heard regarding Rik make's my throat really lumpy, that's now a few member's that have lost there live's this year. Even though I have not met alot of the members on this forum, I have grown to have some sort of connection with everyone even if it is just an avatar. The same also applies to the one's that I don't see eye to eye on certain subject's. Hate to see another fellow member hurt or even worse. It's so easy to have a care free attitude like "It won't happen to me", but the truth is, it doesn't matter how old you are, or how good of a driver you are, all it takes is one small mistake or one small lapse in concentration and then your left fighting for your life or worse. So guys, please, for your own sake and for your family's please do take care out there, it's not only your life on the line, think about the impact it would have on those who love you if something were to happen to you. Really think twice before hitting that loud pedal, I know I will from now on:( Condolences to the family of Rik and all others who have lost there live's to the road, may you all rest in peace:(
  6. Ahhh man you guys mean Rik, as in Rik, can't believe the guys gone, he was online yesterday. This really sucks:(
  7. Im really sorry to hear the news mate, thought's go out to his family:( Was he a member on the forum?
  8. It's a totaly different story when on the motroway and you come accross a 50k+ Supercar and hit the loud pedal. If I was to use the Supra all day long on track only then no doubt I would have stayed BPU. I think it boils down to how you drive and where you drive. For me it's a second car that I use at the weekend, I stretch it's legs down the M6, I would never change back to BPU after going single.
  9. Good point. Might be worth having a look at the MkIII Supra forum.
  10. Phew...just checked, Heckler is 29. Alex, sorry, maybe you were thinking something else.
  11. Hope it's no one from here:( Just found this on the same site,
  12. Absolute nutter! Wouldn't mind a brother like you:)

"295 pound-feet of torque at 3,900 rpm" Rolling start, a good BPU powered Supra Vs one of these should be interesting...maybe nothing in it.

What's the kurb weight etc with one of these and the torque values?
  16. I knew it wasn't Global Warming:tongue:
  17. Ian, are you still running a stock engine bar the cams?
  18. I feel for you mate, in your case it seem's to be due to the neglect of the tuner, too much boost without adequately retarding the ignition timing can kill a well built engine too. Until Dan presents the data from the run, e.g the Igntion timing at that boost etc then all we can do is 'assume'.
  19. IMHO if your going to have a single installed on a stock engine then; 1. Do it properly, no short cuts, no skimping especially on the fuel system. 2. Run low boost, not 1.4-1.5 Bar. 3. Go for a safe map (Low AFR's on boost 10.8-11.2 'ish') rather than an agressive map (AFR's 11.8+ 'ish') That's what mine is currently set to. Obvioulsy there are other factors that could cause your engine to go bang even if it is fully built.
  20. Had another look, your right.
  21. Ahh ok, Had mine dyno'd at Dan's and it gave me figures that were quite a bit less than the figures from a previous dyno run with the same boost at another location. Few of the guy's who have had a dyno run at Dan's all agree that the figures seem to be very conservative.
  22. I think it made 396 RWHP at 1.0 Bar, not 1.4Bar. Which are respectable numbers on a dyno that seem's to give conservative numbers.
  23. Where was your's dyno'd?
