  7. no idea on this kinda thing so what oil shall i go with.......... silkoline pro s 5-40w or 10-50w im driving totally stock, 40k miles on clock, no track racing just plodding around town an up an down the motor way. Guy @ Opie oils recomended me the 5-40w.... jusst checking what you guys are doing
  8. that is a very good bargain on such a low mileage car (providing it has all its serv. history to back up the mileage & its in good nic.), if it was a 'manual' uk however £7500 would have been a ridiculous price with that sort of mileage more £12-15K would have been about the right price. Insurance for the uk is alot cheaper so you shouldnt have many probklems on that front......saying that 9 points?

    oil change

just a quicky.... whats the best oil to use in the suup, the service is due and just want to make sure all the good stuff is being used:D ... i was thinking deep purple maybe, but it is very expensive not sure what has been used previously though....im guessing whatever toyota use as it was all done by them
  17. hmm youve got me thining now ellis?.... were is Chirs exactly?
  18. digsy - cheers for the info sheet m8, thats a big help;) , i take it the items listed in your schedule are just the main things to be done and all checks specified in the service book should still be carried out.
  19. Digsy – cheers for the advise, she is just reaching 46,000 ……… im going to check the service book tonight for what exactly needs doing, I have just had (about 3mths ago) V160 put into the gear box so that is one less thing to be done. Geoffvalenti – that is the reason I want to go to Toyota I have got a Uk manual TT, its absolutly immaculate, with a full Toyota service history and @ 46,000 miles. an before long it may well be a ‘collectors piece’……. I hope;) . I would prefer to take it to Phoenix because they are v.good an trustworthy….but I think the value is going to stay it its peak if I carry on with Toyota. So it’s the choice of taking it to a place I KNOW will take better care of it and definantly know more about the car or do I take it somewere to keep the value up but not necasarily the condition…hmmm choices, choices:rolleyes: . Pete – Would luv to take the supe to Chris Wilson but he is miles away from me, im in London. Hmmm that an idea what do you think Chris will think on a door to door service
  20. I have full Toyota history on my car an thought i might keep the toyota history going?, an then get phoenix to do all the big jobs for me (they are quality by the way). BUT just spoke to Toyota in colindale (North London), to get a quote for a 'B' service including changing spark pluggs.....THEY WANT £450!!!!!! Is this a fuckn joke or what!, checked with Phoenix an they want less than half that for the 'B' service. Dont make sense, how do the justify such ridicoulas pricing.
  21. you could probly pick up a uk tt manual with high mileage for around £9k (100k miles +), but if ur after a low mileage your gonna have to step up your funds by quite a bit i would say....ilike to 11k-14k. there is one that has just gone for £7k which if it is a good car is an absolute steal.....an not sure why it went for so cheap.
  22. it is a 1996, it says P but yes when i think about it UK were only up to N wernt they.....? maybe a typo error:search:
  23. i know its a hell of shame it was a right bargain...... just goes to show they do pop up every now an again! keep looking mattey
  24. charlton you shouldn't have given up on your search.... there was a UKTT 6 on piston heads today for £7500!!!! (BARGAIN), i just missed it it was sold 2 mins before i called.... luckily i already have one so im anoyed i missed it, but not too annoyed
  25. anyone on here get the lucky sale by any chance
