Has anybody got a 1995 supra insured under the classic car policy with lancaster as they told me my car wasnt old enough?, its 2005, and my 'UK TT' is a 1995 does that not make it 10 years old as required for the classic car quote..... confused:blink: + does anybody now a good place for me to get a new quote? im 23, 2 ncb's, for a uk tt6 spd.... tried sky = £1500, tried keith michaels = wont insure me:( , tried adrian flux = £2200....elephant best so far @ £1150......... any ideas peeps!! ???
  10. it does sound cery suspecious.... just been reading the lancer site and apparantly it is a cat c being made to a cat d, nothing about the car seems to add up?:thumbdown im not gonna touch the car with a barge poole let alone 10k of hard earned redies!!
  11. so we reckon this is a bit of a dog then eigh?
  12. agreed it does sound a biiittt fishy!
  13. question 3 - has the cambelt been changed and also was told there was no front end damage? front washers were apparantly taken off cos they look funny? and active spoiler doesn't work? only damage was to drivers door and rear lights?
  14. for those that are interested, I asked the seller a few questions, an this is what he replied (does this sound like your old car keith?): 1, Recorded on HPi register as a CAT D, the car was stolen from the previous owners and damaged, the insurance company decided to pay out, as they couldnt find the vechile (They paid him £19,000 two years ago!), when the vechile was found in its damaged state, it was recorded on HPi register as CAT D, and sold to a salvage yard, who sold the car to me 2, I was told by the previous owner it had full Toyota service History, but the book was lost. I went to the dealer to find out, but they said they couldnt tell me. 3, Not to sure to be honest with you 4, I serviced it myself a few weeks ago, including oil, spark plugs, filter, etc, etc 5, 12 mot 6 tax 6, 2 Previous excluding myself. 1. Lady company car 2. 32 Year old man from Maidenhead (Who it was stolen from)
  15. sorry if this is repost! just thought i would point it out if anyone was interested, uk tt - 6 spd, £10,000, 60k miles, BUT has no service history?? an is missing the front washers??, an classed a cat d?? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/58630.htm wonder why no history?

  18. whoops, a you can see im not with it today! altohugh if he was holding for a uk manual.... he could still well be waiting:zzz:
  19. i think if its a manual your after jap is probly the way to go, uk manuals are a hasle to find... there were a few nocking around a cuople of months back but they had high mileage (i think one was on 120k the other 140).....an d weres till asking £9 or 10k, and if you do come across one with low mileage expect to pay a HIGH price for it!! they dont come cheap!.... anythin' over £11-12k ish, i believe someone on this forum bought a low mileage uk manual for 14k not so long ago... as for the insurance i found there is a massive difference between the japs an uk's, i got quoted £2600 for jap (alot wouldn't even insure me on jap) and 1080 for uk good luck with the find though m8.... be patient
  20. is it manual?? manuals tend to fetch alot more £££'s as they are so rare....... even so even if it is manual 12k is a bit steep for a jap car
  21. uk tt 6 10-11k at this time of year i would think ( why you selling m8, dont do it! ) as for the cliam not sure, but my bro works for a cliams company so could put your details forward
