  1. The DC2 is definitely on my list of cars to own.. Ollie Sky Insurance
  2. Lui, you are very welcome. You helped us out a lot on the day and we were more than happy to offer you the Drift passenger ride as a way of saying thanks. I hope you enjoyed the day! Good effort to everyone from The Mkiv Supra Club who attended, the club pitch looked very well presented! Thanks Ollie Sky Insurance
  3. I'm Arsenal! BUT my old man's friend is a massive Burnley fan and we went to see them in a play off final many moons ago vs Stockport.. one of the best atmospheres I have experienced at a game!
  4. £62.50 a ticket??!! I was going to go until I heard that.
  5. I would have taken the money!! I once found £40 in a phone box in a train station. Unfortunately I was with my mother who marched me straight to British transport police to hand it in.. 6 weeks later I had a letter saying that no one had claimed the £40 and I was able to pick it up from my local tran station.. went to pick it up and the jolly nice chaps had taxed it by £4!!!! So I got back £36 and vowed never to be honest again. That is why I now work in insurance Ollie Sky Insurance
  6. That is not true. Elephant (like any insurer) will need to know about any change made to the vehicle. Not the best advice to give out I'm afraid.
  7. Cockup or not.. as far as terrorism goes, I'd rather be safe than sorry. If that means arresting people on suspicion and then letting them go after questioning then so beit. If it stop another bombing , that can only be a good thing. Ollie Sky Insurance
  8. Yes indeed, we have been for quite some time. Minimum age for an NA - aged 19 and over, with 2 years driving experience and NCB. Age 21 and over for comp cover Minimum age for a TT - over 21 TPFT but over 23 for comp cover.
  9. Welcome! Expect expensive quotes.. you live in a very high risk area for car insurance.
  10. This is very much a classic show.. and is getting bigger and better very year. I have been 3 years running and it really is a good day out with plenty to see and lots track action.
  11. Cheaper but it is called fronting. Insurance companies and Police are getting more and more wise to this.. especially young drivers with modified cars, insured under mummy or daddy's name.
  12. Please bare in mind that no one apart from Diect Line recognise these 'NCB' officially.
  13. Hi Steve, I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I am no expert but I would assume that you would appoint a Lincoln based funeral director and they would arrange for the body to be collected and transported to their location. Ollie
  14. You could try these guys.. they may be able to help. 3S Service Centre Unit 3 Oak Farm Nurseries Winchfeild Hook Hants RG27 8BX Call Us Workshop: 01252 845645 James Darby: 07881 942241
  15. Say YOU ran the post office.. you had 50,000 customers per year who were all 3p short.. would you let them off? I wouldn't.
  16. Its pretty much bollox though, only Direct Line recognise said named driver NCB.
  17. After a recent review of our claims stats, the EP3 Civic Type R came out as our worst performing car.. this will explain the high insurance costs. DC2 Integra on the other hand was our best performing car.
  18. What you are recommending is called 'fronting' and is illegal. Not the best advice to give out unfortunately.
  19. Sorry, dont mean to sound harsh, as others have said, the OP comes accross ok.. But really.. an 18 year old on a £15k salary.. driving a Supra (even an NA) .. does that really sound like a good idea?? I dont think so! Want power? buy a Punto GT, buy a bleed valve, turn the screw.. you now have 170 BHP. Enjoy that for a year or so and then think about buying a decent car!
  20. Fine in standard form, god awful when modified. Gear boxes go, clutches go. Expensive to maintain depends on a lot of variables.. location, NCB, accidents/losses/points. The only way to find out is to have a look around. Awful MPG when modified and driven on boost, really, really shockingly bad. I refer you to my previous answer.
  21. Mr2 turbos suffer from a much higher claims/loss ratio than GT4's so the GT4 will cost less (probably significantly) less to insure.
  22. My brother (called Chris) once bought a £1500 calibra with the number plate C11 KJS.. with a couple of illegal tweaks it was made to read almost perfectly as Chris. I've always wondered if it is worth any money to a rich Chris.
  23. Hi Matt, In the car club forum world, if you dont stand up for yourself (or in this case the company) you'll (we'll) be walked all over. If you have concerns about the way I handle forum feedback etc then please address your queries to my manager Jae Pearse, the Schemes Manager for Sky Insurance. Best regards Ollie
