  1. or nail polish remover...works a treat. just polish the paintwork after to remove any traces
  2. Kara=bangle not dagger/sword, thats kirpan
  3. first thing was the time it was taking, then further into the conversations with JJ and a couple of member of the UK-mkivs.net forum, the quality was ubber shite with 2 front wheels going out of round very very quickly.... my initial thoughts were quite positive on the wheels and as you know i did place a deposit for them but as i spoke to a few more members the actual cheapness of the wheels are exactly that....cheap. Great looking imho but not worth the safety. Ive looked at the wheels up close and in person and they are so much heavier than what genuines lm's are and contraty to what i was led to believe. A few members have received theres on the corrado forums too where it all started. Sorry buddy, just trying to help you not make a mistake which you may regret, at the end of the day its your money your choice but if i had known half the info i do now when i had ordered them......
  4. actually it looks w*nk but its an improvement on the boxsh*te...as you can tell i hate porkers
  5. These wheels are made in "Taiwan" when i spoke to him "and not like the cheap crap from china" was he comment, im sorry but both are as bad as each other hence another reason for pulling out. The wheels are generic, the pcds are drilled to suit different cars and so are the offsets machined down to suit the particular...hardly custom then. The wheels are made by a single guy in taiwan who normally takes 10-12 weeks but such is the demand the turnaround time is now longer. A far cry from the professional standards of BBS. A guy with hundreds of wheels to make, very cheaply, in soaring heat, underpressure = recipe for disaster + very very dangerous
  6. I was prowling around on uk-mkivs.net and the GB was started by Paul @ rtec, now jj has taken over GB's under the guise of tuningmeisterjj on there, have a look at the live group buys section and make up your own minds guys. Im not sure if anyone on there has received a set from him, i didnt so got my money back. He was very helpful initially up until he had my deposit but then it became very very difficult to get any kind of response from him... Sorry Adzc im not trying to p*ss on your bonfire but i think other members should have an impartial view on "JJ" when they are handing over monies and not expecting to see goods until 15-20 weeks?
  7. Just as a side note, i ordered a set from JJ back in March that didnt materialise after the quoted 12 weeks, he did return my deposit after weeks and weeks of calls, letters, emails....
  8. LOl same, ive been preving (oo-err) on Clelands and Sean1933's cars and i think grigio Avlon is starting to sway it for me
  9. My cars at the bodyshop this week, cant decide whether to go with That Lambo grigo Avlon or BMW Carbon Black....not too sure which will compliment the black wheels best
  10. any idea of the price of the paint? is it a sepcialist paint or can it be mixed so to speak by a decent automotive paint supplier?
  11. Yes, its actually a metallic the panther black ( i work for Ford ) and its very very nice imho..just wanted to know the alternatives I also like the lambo colour your talking about, Lamborghini Grigio Avlon which is very nice. How much would that paint be? would it be any more expensive than normal paint?
  12. Appreciate your comments but silver is just sooo boring n dull now imho and as the respray is costing me just the materials, the worst that can happen is just buying some more paint and cahnging it again
  13. Could someone photochop my car in black and in grey? http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/3870/mesh4ob0.jpg http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/3870/mesh4ob0.1a49a43786.jpg
  14. hmmm interesting, always thought it was metallic. Could someone take the pic of my car below and have it in black and aston martin esque grey http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=155903 cheers
  15. Is the Standard 202 Toyota Black a metallic?

    wheels

yes 5x112 is fine, mine are 5x112 with varinuts, nuts with a loose collar which takes up the difference, havent had any issues/vibrations problems or the such like even repeated hard driving. Yes 5x114.3 is ideal but 5x112 is the max safe pcd you can go to with varinuts imho

    Pick my bumper

Do-Luck, just fitted mine today(ebay jobbie). If i had the budget i would have gone for the Ridox but it only looks good as a whole kit with the skirts n spats IMHO
  19. I had the bumper on while i mounted the intercooler, i mounted it so it was right up against the hole in the bumper and in the middle. I then removed the bumper, fitted all the IC pipes and re-fitted the bumper before sealing the edge around the mouth of the bumper so it was air-tight ensuring all air went throught the IC not around it.
  20. Check my garage, at the time i thought it looked cool and covered up the blandish front but now on my current Supe- i wouldnt do it
  21. I Have similar wheels in 19" here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=155903 They clear my Brembos which are wider than the uk calipers so should clear with the measurements you have
