  2. Don't know if anyone has seen this yet but it's spreading round the world fast. Good luck to you Susan .... Very Emotional ... If this dosn't make the hairs on the back of ur neck stand up nothing will ... Over 8 million hits on just this one video since Saturday. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lp0IWv8QZY
  3. Seems there was an airlock in the heater matrix which had cleared on a long run reducing the amount of water in the system. Which then started to overheat and overflow the expansion tank. Must have put 2.5 ltrs back in to the system. Thanks to Ian C for the advice on how to clear air locks in the cooling system and now everything seems to be working ok. Will keep an eye on it just to to be sure everything is deffo ok and working properly
  4. Just round to doing this and it seamed to do the trick like you said. Had a problem with overheating the other day and since the last time I flushed the system the heating wasn't working. Did a long run to the coast and it started to over heat with the temp guage going up and down. I believe that the air lock cleared and reduced the amount of water in the system which then started to overheat and overflow the expansion tank causing the temp gauge to rise and fall. Heater is now working and I hope it has sorted the problem. Thanks Ian for your advice on clearing the air locks.
  5. Already did the core plugs behind the water pump and had the front of the engine off and did myself so no problem there. Will check the oil to see if it might be a head gasket. Hoping for just and airlock as my heater hasn't really worked properly since I did the last job on the core plugs ....
  6. Thanks mate will start to check it tomorrow. Foned Camberly Autofactors today just to get an idea on price of a water pump ... approx about 70-80 quid so not bad if it's that. but will go for the simple stuff first ... Thanks for your help will keep u posted ...
  7. Yeps tricky it did appear to do that and now you mention it would sound like a water pump would cause that if not what else could it be ... am worried now lol
  8. Not checked the oil yet as will be starting to look tomorrow got some ideas to get started on though. Rad Cap .. Thermostat ... Air Lock .. Water Pump any other ideas would help but am concerned about the water pump mainly ...
  9. Surely a failing water pump would be sign that it was leaking. What else can fail on a water pump. Thanks
  10. Yeps I did two of them and as said it's access to the core plug itself. If you can get clear access then they are very easy to do. They are not recessed as peeps might think so using a blunt tool like a short rod like a drill bit but not. Tap one side of the core plug slowly and it should twist in it's housing. Once removed use a gasket sealant and spread around the new core plug. Using an appropiate sized socket that is the same size as the rim of the new core plug. Very slowly and lightly tap the core plug into it's housing until flush with the enging housing. Do not use a tool and tap in the base of the core plug as you might distort it or put a hole in it. Good Luck .....
  11. Hi Scott Possibly about 6 weeks ago maybe two months ago when I fixed the core plugs and replaced the coolant and the heater wasn't working properly then. Not had a chance to sort that problem out as yet so could be the cause. Hope it's not the water pump from hell lol. Thanks for the reply
  12. Driving back home today and noticed the temp gauge right up in the heavens and then it dropped down. Then up and down. It seemed to do this on the change of the throttle. Got back home and there was plenty of water but the expansion tank was bubbling like a kettle. Could it be a sticky thermostat??. Any help would be appreciated.
  13. Driving today and noticed the temp gauge had gone right up and then it dropped down and went up again quite quickly. Got back home and the overflow tank was bubbling. Plenty of water in there. Could it be the thermostat. Any help would be appreciated.
  14. For anyone interested. Just found this site. www.spotify.com Currently just for listening to music but maybe in the future they are looking to bring downloads to the site. Are there any other good music sites out there for downloading music say for a reasonable fee ... Thanks

  21. My Supe runs at a constant temp on the temp gauge, but not much heat comes out of the heater. Could this be an air lock or the thermostat...... Thanks for any advice
  22. Received an email from a friend and don't know if anyone else has got it as it's been doing the rounds. Your contacts to call In case of emergency on your mobile phone. Edit contact to include I.C.E. at the end of the number. Many emergency services now recognise this as an emergency contact if they check your phone. I've changed mine ..... have you?
