  1. Nice to see a skier turning to boarding! My brother was a skier and when we went to Tignes in Jan, he tried boarding for the last few days and hasn't looked back. When in March do you goto Meribel, we go 9th March?
  2. When do you go to Val Thoren? Like I said earlier, I'm going to Meribel which shares the three Valleys with Val Thoren, looks like one hell of a playground Jackson hole eh, I've heard there are some scary double blacks there, a bit too screy for me mate!
  3. Here's a cool pic my mate took from the top of the glacier in Tignes last year...
  4. No mate, I wouldn't. I'd buy everything separately. I would do a lot of research before I chose a board, I'd wan't other peoples opinions or possibly try before I buy. Same thing with boots and bindings as these are important too. I'd go with one of the big brands, Burton, Ride, Rome etc. There's plenty of info and reviews on the net.
  5. Lucky git! I'd love to go to Whistler! Ride DH, is this a point you nose down hill / carving type board?
  6. Nice 1, defintely give the Bataleon boads a try, you'll love them - They actually make the art of boarding easier!!
  7. Cool, quite a few boarders on here
  8. I can't check eBay at work as admin has blocked it Can you paste the info here? I would steer clear of eBay stuff unless they are well known brands as a lot of money had gone into R&D, but you have to be careful about buying fakes.
  9. Firstly, you wanna make sure it the right length/width to suit you own height & weight, I would also go for something with a bit of flex as it helps with your turns. You also want something with a sintered base or similar for that extra bit of speed. Do you have an indoor slope (real snow) near buy, as most of these places have shops where you can try before you buy. You also need to make sure you get the right boots and bindings which are just as important.
  10. I've heard good things about Palmer boards, never tried one though.
  11. Mate, if you're looking to buy I can strongly reccommend the Bataleon boards, ever heard of them? I used to ride a Ride Decade but I found it a bit too stiff and heavy. I then bought a Bataleon Goliath, at the same time my mate bought a Bataleon Enemy. These boards use triple edge technology (they are not flat) which make them really responsive, smooth as hell in the turns and really hard to catch an edge (although I did once big style!!). They are quite expensive but you can get last years rangefor almost half the price (same boards differnt graphics!) Check them out! http://www.bataleon.com/
  12. Try it mate, I urge you to! You can do lessons as Xcape, I did a day course at the Snowdome in Tamworth and then a two hour finisher, very tiring and frustrating at times, but once it clicks it's very addictive. You can rent your board, boots, bindings & helmet but you need to buy your clothing. You need, thermals, good jacket and trousers, gloves and goggles and padding. You can spend as much are as little as you like but obviously the more you spend the better gear you wil have. I reckon for £350 you can get kitted out clothing wise.
  13. I'd love to go boarding in Canada, maybe next year I usually got to Tignes which is amazing, this winter I'm off to Meribel which looks just as good. What board do you ride? whats your style?
  14. Have you been there before, any good?
  15. If so, where are you boarding this winter?
  16. You can then sell your Toyota ones and be up on the deal. Just make sure you use chrome bulbs in your eBay jobbies or they won't look much different to your Toyota ones! (anyone know where to get the chrome bulbs indicator bulbs from?)
  17. Chav fighting should be made an olympic sport!
  18. about 10 years ago I won £120, lost my ticket and pulled the house apart looking for it, but found it in the end!
  19. I think I'd go with the Jezz TT transplant, looks easier and probably cheaper!
  20. Thats a very big shopping list!

  22. I would say most people who buy recently imported cars will have no service records. With regard to future servicing it's really up to you how you do it, if you do service the car yourself just keep receipts of all the parts you have bought.
