  1. Owing to a couple of annoying stone chips I need a touch up stick and/or spray. I know my paint code is 199. Could someone tell me if I have to get these from a Toyota garage or could I get them somewhere else. Thanks
  2. Mine is virtually spot on at 30 and becomes more and more out as the speed increases (over reading) That's why I bought a Road Angel so I could have an accurate speedo
  3. If they are not wearing their high viz jackets perhaps they will get run over
  4. What an interesting feature It somewhat supports the 280 bhp Jap figure as being only a myth and makes you realise how much slower big passengers can make you
  5. The next one is THE best one
  6. On the VERY rare occasions my wife drives the car off somewhere I always love watching it go. The only down side to driving a Supra is that you don't get to see it.
  7. Drinking beer and thinking about fish and chips
  8. One thing really fasciinates me...... I agree with all the above comments. I grew up with "proper" discipline. Pretty much everyone I have ever been in conversation with over this area has the same opinion. I would say it is an "age thing" but those in charge of the Criminal Justice system are not young. So the question is ...how has GB become such a politically correct no discipline/respect country? Even if these louts were convicted they would probably get a fine they would not pay and community service thay would not do with no come backs It's not just a police thing... first conviction for burglary : small fine with no prison ! get done for 160mph on a clear dry empty motorway ???
  9. Definately recommend A Plan !
  10. I used ordinary T Cut in a couple of 5 minutes sessions for each side and the difference was "brilliant"

  12. I know this is probably stupid but what is really needed is a device you can stick in the exhaust just to start it up and drive round the corner and then remove. I imagine this would solve everyone's problem. If you buy an already modded Supra I guess you would not appreciate the difference, but having only had BPU for a couple of months I have to say the difference is CLEAR ! I used to have a seriously "smoothly deep" sounding quiet car. My daughter fell into hysterical laughter last week when she saw the word "silent" on the new exhaust.
  13. If you and or others stand up as witnesses and she does not report it to police within 24 hrs she is also guilty of failing to stop which *IF* prosecuted for she would get a fine and some points
  14. I got mine from JIC 4 years ago (6/9/03) with 37K miles on the clock. It now has 64K miles So far the only fault is the electric aerial no longer pulls down. Went BPU in July some 3.5K miles ago and now keep thinking of excuses to go out in it more
  15. Really useful post, thanks. I have very recently gone BPU, Spec as in my sig. I got it done at Whifbitz last month. Since then I have done over 3,000 miles all round Scotland and enjoyed every mile. I wish I had done it earlier (had the car nearly 4 years now) TOTALLY different drive now. Having read your post I WILL be changing oil religiously. I have NGK Iridium spark plugs, not sure how many miles these are supposed to last. My Supe has now done 64,000 miles so based on your experience hopefully I will soar into 6 figures over the next few years with no issues (crosses fingers)
  16. JIC is where I got mine too, I was impressed by them, sadly I assume they went bust later. My expereinece was the same as yours both there and a week earlier where we tested a couple of manuals in Wiltshire somewhere. I got mine in Sept 04 when did you get yours?
  17. Same here, I would have bet serious money four years ago that I would "never" have an auto... ever! Having test driven a few manuals I was not convinced I liked the gear box, though I am sure like anything you'd get used to it. I finally test drove an auto and it was SO smooth. Now I have bpu, the engine is much more free running and if you floor the throttle the gear changes are evidenced by mere flicks on the rev counter
  18. Can I tag another query to this window thread? After nearly 4 years of ownership the Toyota reputation of bullet proof engineering is letting me down; my drivers side window when going down is making a "whining" noise,if I pull on the window as it drops sometimes the noise lessens so I guess it is rubbing against something? Any ideas as to what this might be, before I venture into taking the door panel off? Going back up is fine it is only opening it that causes the noise.
  19. In the words of Harry Enfield "Oh dear she's getting in the wrong side
  20. Arrghh you have ruined it. I've always thought it was all real, ......they are actors ??
  21. 1.2 (The low setting on the boost controller being 1.0)
  22. I use mine for everything. So far only one failure, a couple of months ago.... Me, wife, Mother in law and a new boxed 37 ins TV After 10 mins of trying this I finally had to leave Mother in law in the shop (Wife picked her up on a return trip)
