I would have thought that the cold, moisture filled air would have been great for the health / performance of the car by keeping the inlet temps down... I stand to be corrected of course, are you possibly booting it and getting a boost related missfire?

Especially the ones who put sidelights on just so they can switch on their foglights. But as Pixelfill says there were loads of people today driving in the fog (which didn't lift all day), with no lights on at all. On a single carriageway there were people overtaking a lorry and just about missing the oncoming traffic - neither had any lights on at all. :thumbdown

Actually that's a very good point.... I'm sure that when I first got my soop it didn't kick down every time you floored it (even when it obviously should have done), but now I never get that problem.

What speed / revs does it happen at mate? The gears are so long on that gearbox I sometimes find myself 'stuck' in gear when I floor it, too low for serious power, but if it kicked down it'd be too high

I've only had mine just over a year, but it's 12 years old now and I've never had any sort of mechanical or electronic failure at all apart from a flat battery

I know someone at work who's mate used to package up x rated dvds.... he knew he'd seen it all when he packed up a copy of "trans-grans"
