  1. Bump - any ideas? If no one can recommend anything cheap does anyone know anywhere that I can trust? Cheers.
  2. Not looking hopeful
  3. Hmm apparently the DVLA can fax a "Certificate of Entitlement" to the hire company upon their request which costs £5. Good call Martin, not completely in the shit afterall
  4. Thanks, will be on the phone to the DVLA in a few hours to check that out Only trouble is I don't have a fax machine hehe, perhaps they'll post me a paper copy!
  5. Think i've found my answer (see attached). Inefficient bastards, it's been over two months now, I guess I haven't got a hope in hell of getting it back before I leave now Rob - I'll be there early (9ish?), having a B service, Fluidyne rad fitted and some other minor things.
  6. Hi Robert, is the Aristo still at Phoenix? If so, looking forward to seeing it on Tuesday!
  7. Of course the other issue here is if the court summons comes whilst I'm away and I don't attend. Is there anything I can do to notify them that I will be away for the next 3 months?
  8. I had to hand in my photo ID driving license and paper counter-part at the local police station along with producing the MOT and insurance. They keep the driving license until the court date so they can apply any points if applicable. It doesn't sound hopeful, I agree...
  9. Hi there guys, Well I'm going travelling for three months in a week and I've just realised my driving license is with the police as I am currently contesting a speeding fine (have applied to appeal but not heard anything back as of yet, if it's anything like the last one it could be 6+ months before I do!). Anyway as I want to hire a car at some point when I'm abroad this leaves me in a bit of a sticky situation. Is there anything I can do to get the license back? Will hire companies abroad accept the speeding ticket as my driving license as they supposedly should here? Any advice greatly appreciated! Regards, Francis
  10. I'll check, not entirely sure..... North Wales - a tenner maybe? Regards, Francis
  11. Up for sale a pair or facelift rear lights. They were on the car for about a month hence are practically as new and come with bulbs and all the looms etc - a 5 min swap job. Only thing is one of the plastic mounts snapped off as in the photo as it was a pretty tight fit on my UK spec. Of course they still sit tight without that bolt.. £80 Could be picked up from me in central London or potentially dropped off at Phoenix this Tuesday. Cheers, Francis
  12. Looks like a fine example from someone who's obviously looked after it and had it for a long time! Good luck with the sale - perhaps u should put it in the for sale section?
  13. Hi there guys Well I'm going away on a medical elective for almost three months and I need somewhere to store the Supe as I can't leave it on the street here in London for that long! The trouble is my parents now live in London so I can't store it with them either! Obviously I need to store it somewhere safe - does anyone have any ideas around the London area or possibly further out? I've found a few places online and they all seem to charge around £20 a week, is there anything much cheaper? Anyway would be grateful for any advice. Cheers, Francis
  14. Anyone out there have a Supra car cover they don't need? Preferably after one of the better ones, suitable for outside storage.. going away for 10 weeks so need to have some peace of mind! Cheers, Francis
  15. Nickyboy: Selling up?! What are you going for next?
  16. Hi there Mine had this, turned out it was one of the hoses to it had perished so was a simple replacement job. Regards, Francis
  17. That's really good, wish I'd had mine done there now!
  18. I bought some plain black Mk4 mats from a guy on eBay for £20. They looked good at first but are very thin and soon wore down in the usual places. Guess it all depends on the quality, worth paying the extra, my next set will be coming from Steve Manley methinks.
  19. I saw an advert on the back of a bus, looks like Kwik Fit are doing it now too, not sure how much for though.
  20. Hi there guys, Well had a bit of an incident today - got in to the car and tried to start it up but the Clifford alarm went off and it was impossible to turn it off. I don't usually use it as I also have the original Toyota installed and the clifford just operates as an immobilizer. It's bloody loud (constant air horn), some guy started shouting abuse at me from his flat and threatened to come down and smash my car up which was nice. Anyway finally figured out that the keyfob was bust and cracked it open with a screw driver and ripped off the lock button. Anyway as a consequence I now need a keyfob as I seem to have lost the spare. Phoned up and it looks like it's going to be a whopping 59 quid! I was wondering if there are any cheaper ways to get a replacement? Alternatively is it worth replacing the two systems for one good one? I'm fed up with alarms, always causing me grief! I Cheers, Francis

    Mac Mini

Is it boxed and mint? If so I'll give it a try
  22. It's somewhere in between. Less loud than the Nur Spec, but with a full decat I certainly wouldn't describe it as quiet!
  23. Up for grabs is a HKS Carbon Titanium exhaust (cat back). It has been used but is in excellent condition. For those of you who are not familiar with this exhaust it has a titanium tip, carbon fibre muffler and fully stainless steel piping and retails for £600+. The only reason for the sale is I have a Greddy Ti on its way - to be honest I'm not sure if the Greddy will sound any better because the HKS Carbon Ti is hard to beat, but like most of us - I just like changing things! (I've also had a Nur Spec-R). The HKS is quieter than the Nur Spec, especially on idle and it has a really sweet sound at high revs - very crisp! It is also a good fit with little underhang - much less than the Nur Spec. Not really much more to say, if I get it home first I will give it a good polish for the buyer. £395 - can be collected from central London or Phoenix. At the moment I am still waiting on the Greddy from MKIVStore, but as soon as that arrives it's yours. Cheers, Francis
  24. I had mine done in Watford next to the place where Phoenix get their MOTs done. It's called PDS Autocare (01923 211610), charged me 75+VAT and seemed to do a good job. There are probably cheaper though...
  25. Driving along the Kings Road Chelsea and then out of nowhere a red Supra appears behind me! Anyone on here?
