  1. Well what a great thing to discover just before a major exam! Some tw*t has keyed the side of the Supe ... I guess it could be worse, but it's still pissed me right off. It's about 20cm long and at parts has gone all the way through to the white primer. The question is what to do? Obviously I don't want to leave it like that because it ruins the car but what options do I have? (zymol didn't really help!) Are there any good alternatives to getting the whole panel resprayed? How much is this likely to cost? Thanks, Francis
  2. Hmm I might be interested in one of those, wish I'd got one at 299 in Lucifer's openining offer.
  3. Cheers for that - Johnson Tyres are doing all four for 368 delivered!
  4. How much would I need to spend to turn this in to an SBC i-Colour?
  5. On the topic of tyres, have just checked the tread and none of the tyres have quite reached the wear marker yet, perhaps 0.5mm away on one of the sides - will this still pass MOT? (on Friday) Also it looks like the right side, particularly the inner side has worn a little more than the left - could it do with a geometry check?
  6. Cheers guys. Not a bad idea Ian, I did phone Kwik Fit but they were asking £151 for each of the rears fitted so I didn't even bother asking about the fronts!
  7. 255/40/R17s and 235/45/R17s on the front. I was a bit surprised they're coming up as being Y speed rated...on the Supe that might actually be a problem
  8. Well it's about 10 months since I bought the Supe (with near new Eagle F1s on) and about 14k miles later they're in need of replacing. Seems sensible to stick with Eagle F1s, just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on where to get them? Checked two online places: Blackcircles - £477.52 fully fitted Mytyres - £410.60 plus £20 fitting at local garage Does anyone have any experience of mytyres? Apparently the tyres come from Germany so I'll have to wait a few days if I do go down that route. Cheers, Francis
  9. 16.5cm although the hole on the new ones was slightly bigger.. you can always carve it out a bit more if needs be.
  10. Up for grabs, a pair of speaker brackets. I got a set done in the group buy and replaced these today.. they're ones I knocked up myself so they're not that neat but they are functional. If anything they might be a little more sturdy than the group buy ones as they're whittled out of a single piece of MDF. Free for collection in central London or will post for a tenner.
  11. I've got facelifts in mine, just wondering if they pass the MOT without the fog light or do I need to put my old ones back in?
  12. Thanks Nic, once again an invaluable response!
  13. Hi guys, I ordered some facelift clear front indicators from Steve Manley (including an extra loom for the off side) a few weeks ago, which arrived promptly as promised. The problem is that the bulb holders on the additional loom don't fit in to the light assy, as you can see from the photo the tabs are different. I called Steve and he ordered another set in to check but they came out the same, but he told me someone on here had the same problem but got around it somehow. Have I got the right loom? Is it a case of chopping off the wires to the bulb holders on the loom and attaching them to the bulb holders that come with the light assy? Any help greatly appreciated! Cheers, Francis
  14. About £240 from Steve Manley, well worth it in my books and you can flog the old ones for an easy £100. You have to give me a ride in the new beast!
  15. I fitted some new UK spec ones and a couple of days after there was slight condensation in one, but it went and hasn't come back since. Probably just as they've been on a shelf somewhere for a long long time
  16. How is the SBC i-Colour? Does it work well as a boost gauge alone?

    Exhaust???

I sold my Nur Spec-R to whellie who has a lovely black N/A, he was overjoyed when he put it on over the stock exhaust
  18. Very nice, especially with the black
  19. Hi there guys, I'm after a portable soldering iron, I'm guessing this will be a butane powered one. Any recommendations? I'll be using it to fit an FCD and probably RLTC in the future. Cheers, Francis
  20. Lui - how much did that cost you? Pretty tempted as it's not far from me
  21. Nice Supe How about going single? Out of interest how much did the turbo refurb cost?
  22. Nice one, look forward to seeing that around Kettering Are you going to tart up the headlights too?
  23. Really sorry to hear about this. I take it you didn't opt for their agreed value? I still have to send in my photos etc for that, had better do it quick. Mine's a red UK TT, but if you want a copy of the receipt I got when I purchased it to help your claim just let me know.
  24. Congratulations! I'm working shifts on the labour ward myself at the moment so I have some idea of how stressful it can be for the parents but sounds like they did a good job!
  25. Mark @ Phoenix told me the 6-spd on mine was the driest box he'd seen and tracing back the history it's only had V160 in it, so definitely seems the way to go, other oils may work but I wouldn't risk it and the box functions perfectly well with it. I've had the oil changed quite recently, it's a bit clunky in the cold but give it a couple of minutes to warm up and it's a dream.
