  1. So next time you cut up a lorry and make them slow down you know why they get annoyed!
  2. Some good pics there.
  3. Just don't. The tug lines are pretty long anyway.
  4. I do. The scooter's for the missus because she says she can't run cos her boobs are too big . Why is it poor doggie though? They LOVE it! zdH7IS5MWtk
  5. http://www.scootmountain.com/ Anyone seen or got or heard of these guys before? We're looking for a scooter for running the dog and they're usually over £200 for even the most basic ones from dog mushing sites, so this one for £180 delivered looks very good - but we don't want it to fall to bits after a few months. The website isn't brilliant and there seems to be a lot of small print that they can fall back on when it DOES fall to bits!! I can't find any reference to the weight of it or any detailed pictures either which is worrying.
  6. They shouldn't go straight into it with expensive kit and should buy a second hand bike first..... oh..... right.
  7. What did you think of Fringe? I saw a few random episodes and now we're watching the series 1 boxed set - only on disc 2 though. [/OffTopic]
  8. Although I guess people who want this kind of thing will know what it's worth?
  9. Ooh might have to find it on OD.
  10. The first email reeks of scam anyway!! They always seem to ask "What is you last price?", I mean; did you even READ the advert!!
  11. OK, how much to build me that with a small (100GB?) HDD and Windows 7 loaded? Will the 460W PSU support 3 HDDs OK?
  12. Maybe all the others he drove were TTC. Doesn't it say he'll give the money back if you don't take it?

    Spoon

A lesson on how consultants can make a difference in an organization: Last week, we took some friends to a new restaurant, 'Steve's Place,' and noticed that the waiter who took our order carried a spoon in his shirt pocket. It seemed a little strange. I looked around and saw that all the staff had spoons in their pockets. When the waiter came back to serve our soup I inquired, "Why the spoon?" "Well," he explained, "the restaurant's owner hired Andersen Consulting to revamp all of our processes. After several months of analysis, they concluded that the spoon was the most frequently dropped utensil. It represents a drop frequency of approximately 3 spoons per table per hour. If our personnel are better prepared, we can reduce the number of trips back to the kitchen and save 15 man-hours per shift." As luck would have it, I dropped my spoon and he replaced it with his spare. "I'll get another spoon next time I go to the kitchen instead of making an extra trip to get it right now." I was impressed. I also noticed that there was a string hanging out of the waiter's fly. Looking around, I saw that all of the waiters had the same string hanging from their flies. So, before he walked off, I asked the waiter; "Excuse me, but can you tell me why you have that string right there?" "Oh, certainly!" Then he lowered his voice. "Not everyone is so observant. That consulting firm I mentioned also learned that we can save time in the restroom. By tying this string to the tip of our you-know-what, we can pull it out without touching it and eliminate the need to wash our hands, shortening the time spent in the restroom by 76.39%." I asked quietly; "After you get it out, how do you put it back?" "Well," he whispered, "I don't know about the others, but I use the spoon."
  14. Well, as I said, we use it for general admin/office stuff, internet including youtube and flash games and stuff, playing music and occasionally watching programmes or films. Would quite like to have a headset mic plugged in at some point so Zoe can do some home based PA work. We never play games on it or do any fancy graphics design - I use Photoshop to edit my pics and that's about it. Ideally it would need to be futureproof to the extent that I can upgrade it with a few bits for the next few years without having to replace everything. I have a monitor/keyboard/mouse/speakers, and I don't think I'd bother with a new HDD although if someone else was building it for me I'd ask for a small HDD (or SSD if they're cheap enough now) with Windows 7 loaded, and I'd use my own HDDs or buy my own new for the media drive.
  15. WTF is G Puffit? And is De La Rosa racing or just testing? I didn't catch the teams. //edit: Just saw first post. //edit2: Oh.
  16. Seriously, I can put it all together myself I just need advice on what to buy. Or is that what you're offering? Seems silly paying for advice when there's so much available for free though.

    Airsoft

Ok but what games do you play? Do you all just run around and shoot each other or are there proper things to do?
  18. Havant near Portsmouth. Didn't last long but it did lay a few mm.

    Airsoft

I think the Combat South one is on top of Portsdown Hill? This one is the other fort just to the West of that (Fort Southwick I think). The place is called UCaP and it's a bit cheaper than Combat South, plus they only need 14 people for a private game rather than I think it was 25 for CS. Yep here it is: http://www.portsdown-tunnels.org.uk/palmerston_forts/fort_southwick/1_overview_p1.html http://www.portsdown-tunnels.org.uk/palmerston_forts/fort_southwick/3_ughq_modern_p2.html Looks like fun!!
  20. We had a bit of snow this morning between 07:40 and 08:30 ish.

    Airsoft

Not really AFAIK. But being indoors will help with that. We've done paintball before we fancied something different - apparently you certainly know you've been hit, but you can just say you weren't and carry on if you're that kind of person.

    Airsoft

We're doing airsoft for my mates stag do. Can anyone who plays tell us what kind of games you play? We're booking a private session for 14 of us to have the place to ourselves - an underground WWII bunker! So what happens when we get there? I can only think of capture the flag and hunt the stag! How do the games work? I'm worried some of the people we're going with will cheat and not admit to being hit - when you're hit do you have to go back to the safe zone for a period of time or something?
