  1. Someone would probably go to look at a car if you find one, or at least post it up on here and we can have a look and tell you risk points and things to look for. You say you don't have a lot of time, but it's a lot of money, you're really saying you want an easy answer? will the insurance be high? Yes. Depends on your age and location though. UK spec is generally cheaper to insure. What is the mpg average for non turbo? Both NA and TT will be about 20mpg. How does it do regarding current emissions regs? If the cats are in it'll be fine. 1 cat removed is normally OK as well. Both cats removed and you may fail an MOT. Why would you want to de-cat? Search BPU! Are they expensive to maintain? Yes. Think of it as a Supercar and you'll be OK. Any reasons NOT to buy jap import? Nope. Apart from insurance. which is better -manual/auto? Up to you. I had a manual, my next one will be an auto. Drive both and see. I think they are rear wheel drive - how are they in snow! BAD! Although I've never tried it, I wouldn't want to. Was there a good year of manufacture- I would like aero and air con? AFAIK they all have air con, there are only a few aeros about - I'm not sure what specs are available in aero TBH. Most important - any know problems to look for? They're pretty robust, mostly check for blue smoke.
  2. Oh yeah I know that one, didn't know who by though.
  3. WTF is Tiffany? (apart from 'er in the pic of course).
  4. I WANT it!!! No money though. Would you swap an 05 Corsa? The missus won't be pleased but never mind.
  5. And 2 wheels flying into other cars at high speed!
  6. The security on non 'telephone banking' phone calls to the bank is a bit pants! They ask things like "What was the last transaction amount" which I never know, and things like "How many account holders are there" which is just me and always confuses me so I always answer "I don't know, me I think". Basically this carries on until they find one I know, which is normally mothers maiden name. You can say you didn't know there was a password etc. they still let you in!!
  7. I think that's actually everyone, well except me.
  8. I think I want Conservative to win, but I have no idea what that will mean for all of us and that's a bit scary - having lived all my adult life under Labour.
  9. It did seem all warm and fuzzy from what I saw, lots of complimentary gushing about the people in subject at the time.
  10. You could reply and ask for bank details and a cheque for £199 to secure the position.
  11. Crazy dangerous if it happens in a race!!
  12. To do with the Mayan calendar isn't it? I haven't seen it. It's all twoddle though really it's just a transition to another section of the calendar not the END of the calendar.
  13. I only caught the last half, thought Ali kept cutting Nick off when he was trying to finish his point, he looked flustered when he did it the second time! I'll have to watch it again on demand.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2010/04/15/wii_fit_fall/ I think we need pics!
  15. No idea how to pronounce it though.
  16. Not really, imagine if it went on numbers and we were voting for a world government, we'd always be under Chinese control!
  17. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/environment/article7097495.ece Sounds like Katla will erupt as well, and it'll last for 2 years. Great.
  18. Damn straight!! I've said before it's not fair that there are blanket limits on benefits and similar as well, I earn a reasonable wage and so does the missus, so we can't claim bugger all - but I'm in £40k more debt than a homeless person!! I know that's my own fault but it's everyone's fault that they're in their position isn't it? How come single mums can claim a house and benefits but I can't, even though I struggle probably a lot more to cover my massive debt outgoings as well as feeding me, the wife and the dog. Life is relative but taxes and benefits definitely aren't.
  19. I've got no chance of a remortgage though.
  20. What I want to know is whether this election is likely to put interest rates up very quickly? I don't want to end my fixed rate in a year to find the rates have gone up to 10%!
  21. It seems like a lot of the party policies are turning childlike, either in an attempt to win votes or simply because the population is seen as being 'a bit dim'.
  22. I remember being obsessed with the game. It was teh awesomest.
  23. That's methed up. excuse the lithp
