  1. Hippy burfday from me and Zo.
  2. It's still better than the £900 a year tax that was mentioned, at least those that don't drive their 'gas guzzlers' very often will have to pay over the top. The problem will be when they just keep putting the prices up, and then introduce speed measurement so you'll end up with 28 NIPs through the post each week!!!
  3. She changed her name to "horny horny horny tonight" on MSN after someone else was called "I'm horny". Then she decided she wanted the song. Oh and Gaz................ shut up!
  4. Thanks everyone. Cheers Nic. I can't get used to these bittorrent things!!
  5. Where can you find music bittorent searches? Looking for: Mousse T - Horny. BodyRockers - I like the way you move. Faith Hill - There you'll be. All for the g/f, wants them on her phone!! Otherwise if anyone's got them they could email the MP3 or whatever to me?
  6. I always assumed Heisenberg was talking about particles in particular (heh heh), and it wasn't that relevant to 'big' things!! Oh well just call me dumb arse!! Didn't this thread start with how big the universe is, I changed it to how small a string is!! cool.
  7. Well I often get called an old man, by my old man!!! The lady friend tells me to put my foot down quite often as well. They seem healthy enough, but as I'm sure you're aware there's no guarantee with things like this - I'm just planning ahead!! They WILL break at some point, it might be after everything else on the car has broken and it's left for dead in a scrappy in 20 years time but I doubt it.
  8. How long does it take me to get to 90? Breaking the speed limit is no indication of stress on a turbo surely? I am running 1.15 BAR it's only a matter of time?
  9. I shouldn't have read this thread, making me think twice now about going single when my twins go!! May just go for hybrids instead!!
  10. err... no it's not. You can measure where a car is, how fast it's going and in what direction (crap example I know). It's only technology limiting us - I was replying to Aji really, saying to measure a particle you have to disturb it and therefore change what you were attempting to measure. You've oversimplified it far too much.
  11. Heisenberg's uncertainty principle proves that nothing is predetermined anyway!! How can any of our current knowledge be used to say anything concrete if we can't work out how to get the most basic information on the movement of atomic matter!!!
  12. I was under the impression facelift and pre-facelift had the ABS control in a different place? Not sure why I think that!!
  13. Found something about what I was trying to say earlier: http://www.umanitoba.ca/manitoban/20011128/features_12.shtml Still not exactly what I was looking for though.
  14. Yeah it is a cool film, a few inconsistencies though.
  15. Questions: 1. Does the TC ECU (the one on the left in the footwell) also control the ABS? 2. Will my car fail the MOT now I've taken out the aforementioned ECU and therefore may not have working ABS; assuming an affirmative to Q1? 2b. Is it not just the ABS warning light that gets checked?
  16. I've got £14 per wheel for fitting. Ibrar has similar prices to mytyres BTW.
  17. True they don't do the 285 - I asked as well. Ask Ibrar on here for a quote (pro alloys), he got me the same as you've just said for £600. No fitting though obviously.
  18. Going for the same 245/40 18s on the front. The 285/35s on the back will give it a slightly larger diameter, so my speedo will be out. But I generally drive pretty slow anyway.
  19. I completely agree Aji m8, and I'm a true aethiest. But having seen this programme a while ago that I can't remember what it was called - I'm begining to open my eyes a bit more!!! It was based around the main universal constant, which is mathematically worked out and designed with computer models etc. as the gravity constant, that almost all of physics that we know works around, and it's correct to something stupid like 60 decimal places!!!!!!! 1 single 60th decimal out and the whole universe would never have been!!!!! So either there were billions of 'possible' universes and this is the only one that works (which they also disproved can't remember how now) or there was someone somewhere that designed it to work!!
  20. They sound right to me, I'm going for 285/35 18s on the rear on my 10" ers.
  21. Well the creator is a higher dimensional being - we exist in the 4th dimension which is time i.e.: we have a certain amount of control over the 3 dimensions that we see as X Y and Z, but are 'carried along' by time (that doesn't mean a 5th dimensional being {for example} has control over time and can time travel - same as we can't push a sponge through a lump of lead there are rules), so a higher dimensional being is incomprehensible to us. Imagine we have created a computer program (2 dimensional) that has say 3 rules; birth death and existence, and it consists of blocks that are 'lit' or not, every cycle (say 1 second) the program updates it decides which blocks are made, which die and which carry on as normal relating to the rules of each point. This has been done and the outcome of running it from various start points is quite extraordinary!! I think it's called 'life' actually but can't remember. It's perfectly comprehendible that a 'higher' dimensional being has a 'computer' that can have millions of rules input into it - say all the rules of physics that we know, every chemical element interaction etc. This being then inputs some start point variables like certain elements to begin with, and BANG the universe as we know it is created. So to answer the question, It could be a loop, it could be whatever 'the being that made it' wants it to be. Same as we can simply extend the screen on our computer when the little lit blobs reach the edge, this being can control our universe outer boundary so that we never see or reach it. He could switch off his computer too!!!

    nutter

That's why so many go to you, that dedication has got to bring out the best for our cars!! You are a nutter though.
  23. There was a program about this sort of stuff a while ago - some physicists and other guys tried to disprove the existence of a 'creator', and everytime they got anywhere they came back to the fact that there HAS TO BE a creator at the beginning!!! That's ruined my aetheism!!
