  1. I already came up with a retaliation plan re: voting for the most likely non-labour winner, regardless of the attractiveness of their policies, but no one replied. It must've been a stupid idea.

    Pos!

LOL, I use pfSense with IMSpector, and that too replaces swear words with ****s. The config file for that only allows me to select a single character though. I too wanted to have it replace with happy gay words or something. The teenager's friends still haven't worked out why everything comes through as *s
  3. I'm surprised they can increase the power of that Focus so much without any proper fuel systems modifications (injectors etc.), but I guess modern ECUs are easily re-mapped, and they wouldn't be offering the service if it didn't work..

    Pos!

They just said on Radio 2 that POS means Parent Over Shoulder. Did you know that? It's always meant piece of s.. to me. Jeremy Vine said to the lady "do you know what lol means?" she said "Lots of love?" . Then he said "Do you know what POS means". I was waiting for him to say what it meant and was a bit surprised. Those frickin' teenagers are taking over!
  5. 'tis a big one. Hmm. Not suitable for me I don't think. I have a satchel like thing, but the handle is about to break for the second time (it's already zip-tied where it broke). I need something similar. I spend hours looking through eBay and other sites and couldn't find anything suitable.
  6. It's always seemed to me that a lot of non-Supra people thnk the MK4 is just like the MK3. I'm not saying the MK3 can't handle either, but I've heard those people liken it to a boat.
  7. It's good to finally know what's actually involved. Thanks. (I won't be bothering with the Toyota one!)
  8. Nevermind. I have them relaying through my Exchange server now, and will move them to Be broadband ASAP.
  9. Just moved a small office's server into the chaps home and he has a BT home ADSL package. I am aware of the hoops you have to jump through with BT's mail relay for your own domain on the business broadband packages, relay whitelist, match-up WHOIS postal addresses, smtp auth etc, but this one is odder. BT's SMTP server is re-writing the domain part of outgoing emails, and seems to be using the MX record of the domain for this, so outgoing emails are sent as [email protected] , the MX record lists whatever.dnsalias.net as the primary MX for incoming mail, so BT's SMTP server is rewriting outgoing email addresses to [email protected]. Obviously that's a bad thing. I think this is going to be too awkward to sort with the BT support people, particularly as it's not just one email address (it's an Exchange server). I just found a company called AuthSMTP who offer SMTP relaying for ~£not-a-lot per year (£20 ish). Anybody have any other recommendations for SMTP relay providers, preferably UK based? I would tell the chap to change his broadband provider but that'll take some time. For now the server is delivering directly but this is blocked by dns blacklists in widespread use.

    Hovis

    That makes sense

    Hovis

I might be off target, but that's how all the female new member threads go, and aren't they the hovis ones? Or is it just *after* a lady has posted a hot picture that the hovis thing starts up?
  12. carl0s

    Hovis

Well the problem is that it's always directed at female newcomers. The problem with that is, what're you gonna do/say when the new female member that you got all excited like a dog on heat about turns out not to be such a hottie in your eyes. It can only end in tears, or silence. Best just not to go there in the first place.
  13. Interesting. Yeah I'm on Dolphin 35. Those frickin' names are enough for me to decide I've had enough of Orange. Dolphin, Racoon, Badger .. blah. The £8 package sounds like it would save me at least £5 a month. I went 20mb over my included 25mb the other month and that cost me another £12, so it would be beneficial. I use the data with my laptop too though, not just from the handset, which is why my Web'n'Walk would have to be the plus package. I didn't think they would let me reduce the tariff. Will they? thanks for your ideas so far.
  14. ignore me. I wasn't 100% sure it was a windup at first. very good

    RC Helicopters

I've got a T-Rex too. I've only had it out in the back yard twice now though. It was my birthday present earlier this month. I used to have a Sceadu 30 which was a pretty big (50 sized) glow model. I'm spending all my time on the sim (Phoenix) though before I do anything more than simple hovering in the back yard! The T-Rex is great, I really like it, but all in it's cost probably over £800. I already had the transmitter 'cause I bought that with the copy of Phoenix about a year ago, but I think the actual cost to get going on a T-Rex SE v2 is something like: £260 for the kit £30 for PSU £40 for charger £100 for 401 gyro £200 for pcm 9x transmitter £50 for pcm receiver £60 for s9257 tail servo £60 for three hs65mg cyclic servos Which makes those 'ready to go' T-Rex clones for ~£250 - 260 with everything included, although none of the fancy metal parts, quite appealing.
  16. Hmm. I'm paying too much with Orange. I can get a much better deal from T-Mobile with Web'n'Walk Plus. But if I change, I still have about 7 months of the Orange contract left @£35 per month, which includes 500 minutes. So if I just pay off the £35*7, I'll be losing 3,500 minutes that I've paid for. Does anybody 'buy' minutes from people or anything? If I could put a block on the SIM so that no extra minutes could be used, it'd be a sellable thing wouldn't it.. I'm currently paying £35 for 500 mins and £16 for 25mb of data. I used an extra 315 minutes last month and this added a further £55 to my bill giving a total of £106. My bills are regularly too close to £100/month, which I think is ridiculous for such a thing. T-Mobile web'n'walk plus 35 (18 month) will get me 900 minutes (or 1800 texts) and unlimited data usage from both the laptop and the phone itself (push email) for £42.50 So can I sell my minutes? Any other ideas?
  17. Various kits listed in the yellow Product Overview box in the top right of this page. This is probably the right one. I fancy one. Who's gonna be the test mule?
  18. Funny that, I was just gonna say it'd be nice to make your own or fit an aftermarket one. You could maybe then have an adaptive speed one. Here is one, although it's for electronic throttle (Drive by Wire.. only in the VVTi Supras I think)
  19. He's got a facelift, so no rubber there luckily. The only thing you can try is acetone (Nail Polish Remover), but it may make things worse..
  20. Ah, that's not actually Exchange support then.. Is v2 a fimware update or a hardware update?. I read they had licensed the Exchange ActiveSync protocol, which is what I was interested in (mobile access via HTTP/S always-open connection), and that it was included in a firmware update.

    Falken 452?

I can't remember, but don't the 452s have the (less than adequate) rim protector, as in your pic, and the 451s don't, or something?

    Falken 452?

I suppose after a burnout the rears should at least be run-in, which will help. I thought it was pretty standard for new tyres to not be grippy at first? I use the Falkens and I find them fine, but then I don't do any high speed cornering. They were perfect at Oulton park with a proper driver though, but I think perhaps any tyre would grip well on a track surface. I have the back end sliding out on wet/damp roads from a standstill (90-degree turns) at almost every turn, but it's always out of choice and I enjoy it.
