  1. UK mirrors don't electrically fold. My car has the black carpet & plastic roof lining. I prefer the felt roof lining that my UK car had.
  2. I think it's only supposed to be for the usual bodykit stuff, sideskirts, spats and bumpers. That seems to all they're offering and it makes sense.
  3. Oh yeah. 'tis quite a lot that even for delivery within the US. Dusty is very good with shipping things. I wonder if he will or already does stock this or something similar.
  4. Carpet is the same. Black isn't "higher spec" as far as I know. Black is just better looking to most, and rarer on the Supra, so it has become quite a desirable thing to have and get hold of. I still have a grey carpet in my shed if anyone wants to buy & dye.
  5. 120 quid for a pair of side skirts. That's nice and reasonable
  6. The turbo Supra has traction control, the non-turbo does not. The facelift cars have a much better traction control system. Racelogic make an advanced traction control that is far better than the stock Toyota one. It uses the ABS wheel-speed sensors. Some non-turbo cars do not have ABS, so you have to fit optional speed-sensors from Racelogic.

    Speeding muslim!

64 in a 30 is very bad, if it was a proper 30 road. but I wonder if it was a temporary 30 limit on a 60/70mph road ? It's ridiculous BTW. Lot of people spelling that one wrong lately.
  8. Nice find! I just tried out the latest Beta on Fedora 8. It worked, after a couple of tries, but I couldn't figure out the controls (right mouse click did something..) I tried to close the window and it froze X hard. Was able to ssh from laptop and kill X though, so not the end of the world. It looks good though. I'll keep an eye on it.
  9. No. Can you tell if this is any good though?: I had a play with Ardour, and it looks very good but I don't know what I'm doing. There's no Windows version of that though. This thing has a Windows version. It'd be nice to know if it's 'proper' or not: http://traverso-daw.org/

    New here

    Official stats are 18 - 22 or 18 - 21 I think.
  11. Most people used to use Fancyplates.com. Cheap enough. Or go to the place who does your MOT for you.
  12. Crikey that's fast. Is that cable? They haven't cabled our area, and last I looked the upstream speed was pitiful

    eBay scam?

He does accept personal cheque though. Hmmm. I am looking to replace my Thinkpad T43p, but there isn't much out there that would be a suitable replacement. The T61p is too big, and I'm a resolution junkie. I could just about cope with the 13.3" WXGA+ on that machine as it's only a bit lower than my T43p's 1400x1050 sxga+.

    eBay scam?

Would you trust this seller?: http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZzoobok the X300 ends shortly and may go for a low price, but there's no useful feedback within the last year, and no contact details. hmm. The £2000 one listed may just be a ploy to boost bids on the one that ends shortly.
  15. That would so do me. What do you do? (I know we've had a "what do you do" thread before, but this one's a bit more informal).
  16. I suppose there could be. I have local computer shops passing me their on-site business work. Contracting for them wouldn't be much different.. I'd just be getting less of the money.. or they could charge more.
  17. I don't get a pension either! I can just about manage sick pay, as long as I still answer the phone
  18. Ahh, I see. I wonder if the conservatives will do enough better next time around?
  19. I reckon I'm pretty good at what I do, but unfortunately what I do isn't particularly specialised. I do IT stuff for small businesses, installation & support, desktop support, fixing computers, laptops, servers, small networks. I genuinely think I do it well though, but it's not really very specialised and there are loads of people who do the same. I can't write code or design funky web pages, and I don't know anything niche enough like ancient relational databases or business applications. So I don't see much of a future for myself outside of what I do, small businesses 'IT person' stuff. I have very loyal customers but I'm not gonna be rich any time soon at this rate! I should push harder on the monthly standing order maintenance stuff, or charge more for non-maintenance customers. I have about 15 monthly payers and I feel financially more secure than ever, but I couldn't buy a house tomorrow, I don't think.
  20. You can't be earning that much, surely. Nah. No way. Are you? I earn a pittance, but it's my own fault I suppose. I should (a) not be frightened of increasing my prices and (b) be more eager for new customers.
  21. I know nothing about politics, which is why I might be talking rubbish. I see from here (clicky) that the general elections are where we pick individual local members of parliament. Is that how it works? Do we just pick a local MP of whichever party, and whichever party has the majority of won local MPs becomes the party whose leader is the PM and second in command becomes the chancellor, etc? Or is there another election where we just pick a main party and prime minister? edit: I see:
  22. Cool! When are the major elections? All vote Conservative! (that's presuming they're the most likely non-labour winners... are they?)
