  1. For individual gauges I'd always choose Defi's. Not cheap and you do need a separate control unit to run them. However, they do look the part (especially the BF's), seem to be one of the more accurate gauges, have the ability to record data and once you've got one installed any others are then 'daisy-chained' into the existing setup reasonably easily. This is my BF boost gauge fitted in the air vent. Didn't want to lose the clock as it's the first car I've ever had that has had one fitted!
  2. Have just tried my car and the airbag light does indeed illuminate when the ignition is turned on and then goes off shortly after.
  3. C4 SUP, Is this thread on Scoobynet of any assistance?
  4. Nah, it was permanently on due to the ignition being switched on whilst the dashboard was off. However, the light has now been reset so I guess we'll find out tomorrow what it does.
  5. Keith - Was it possible to check that, as the airbag light was permanently on at that time? It would be appreciated if anyone with a pre-96 J-Spec could check to see whether their airbag light performs in either of the ways as suggested in Nic's post.
  6. It has been suggested to me that the TRD airbag steering wheel is not compatible with the early Supras (pre 96) with single airbag as they have a mechanical trigger mechanism whereas those cars with passenger and drivers airbags (post 96?) use an electronic trigger. Now, I think I'm right in saying the UK cars have driver and passenger airbags as standard so would that mean they have this electronic trigger system? Similary, my 93 GZ has driver and passenger airbags, but I think the passenger bag was an option and not standard equipment, so does that mean I have a mechanical or electronic trigger system. In essence, what I need to know is whether I can fit a TRD wheel to my car and retain its airbag functionality. All help gratefully received.
  7. Maybe that's the one I'm thinking of then. Reason I asked was that the one I know of as well as having the same name and living in the same sort of area, is in the same line of work as you also.
  8. Nick, Do you happen to post on Scoobynet with the username 'Nick Martin'? (Sorry for the )
  9. Might well be interested in a TRD steering wheel depending on price.
  10. Not true, the boost will increase a touch due to there being less restrictions in the exhaust system and as a result it becomes more free flowing. Not on a standard 96 WRX there isn't. The centre section just contains a resonater, although it is often confused for being a cat. However, as standard (non PPP) the UK classics, apart from the P1 and possibly the 22B Type UK, did get cat equipped centre sections.
  11. Spotted heading south at approx 4.20pm this afternoon.
  12. I nearly did wave this morning, but I never get a response from any Subaru drivers I see along there so I didn't fancy my chances when I wasn't even in the same marque!
  13. Er, yes it was actually west. I'm hopeless with directions. Yes, that was me in the black Subaru. Thinking back now, I've probably spotted you on loads of occasions on that bit road as I often seen a silver Supe at around that time.
  14. Heading east at approx 7am this morning. Wouldn't have noticed me as I wasn't in the Supe. Was it you?

  16. http://www.fancyplates.com have made up all my number plates in the past. You can choose custom sizes as well. There is also no specific legal size for the plate itself. It is only the characters, font, spacing, borders, stroke that must adhere to certain dimensions, so it's perfectly feasible to have a 'small' and legal plate if you have a short registration.
