  1. Not sure on price myself (Subaru wheels are more my thing), but I'd be very interested in purchasing them off you when you come to sell.
  2. Success! Spotted you in time and managed a wave as well this morning.
  3. Not sure whether it's the same Maverick as you mean, but the seller is on here, albeit with a solitary post. http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/member.php?u=3055
  4. I wonder whether the purchaser is the same person as the user known as "Chilli" on here?
  5. I like Lust2luv's idea. Although it might just be your runabout, I still wouldn't leave a vehicle of mine with any car parking operation/hotel as you'd be surprised where people's cars end up even when they think they've left them in one place for a fortnight.
  6. Rightly or wrongly it's world events which have pushed the price of crude up so much, thus impacting upon fuel prices. Relating current world events to the price of oil is newsworthy but not in the sensationalist way that some newspapers like to adopt. The previous fuel protests were about the Government planning on raising fuel duty and therein lies the crucial difference. Which headline sells more papers and makes the reader feel less guilty?: New Orleans disaster pushes up the cost of your fuel by 5p a litre or Greedy Chancellor steals more of your money through stealth petrol tax.
  7. But in order to drive down into London people will have to purchase fuel (at allegedly extortionate prices), so would that not be 'sitting down and taking it', albeit to make a point? That's a fair point and there are also people who rely exclusively on a motor vehicle where there is no public transport available, for example. However, if people are so passionate about the price of fuel then I believe that they would have to have the courage of their convinctions to make non-consumption an option, otherwise protesting whilst still consuming looks rather weak in my view. Anyway, best of luck with it all. Too many people moan and don't do anything - at least you're having a go.
  8. I can't help feeling there's a certain irony about going on a protest drive about fuel prices........... In addition, the level of duty that the Government imposes on fuel hasn't changed, it's just the price of crude at present which is pushing it up, so if you're going to protest to the government about the price of fuel then it must be on the basis of their level of taxation rather than the total price you're currently paying at the pump. I appreciate the sentiments behind trying to organise something like this and it is admirable that you're actually making the effort, but you will be wasting your time. The only way to 'protest' effectively is not to consume fuel in the first place, thus depriving both the manufacturers and the government of revenue. Personally, I think motoring is still dirt cheap for the comfort and convenience it affords in comparison to public transport.
  9. As above, you really need a picture of the front of the intercooler. The back of my old one looked far better than that, however, the front was a different matter entirely.
  10. Only for cars constructed before 1/1/1973. http://www.dvla.gov.uk/vehicles/regmarks/reg_marks_current_requirements.htm#traditionalplates
  11. Wasn't worth the wait, I'm afraid! Forgot to take a picture when all the rubbish was removed from the boot, but hopefully this one will give you an idea of the space between the rear clamps and the boot floor, i.e. not a lot and certainly less than I thought there was from memory.
  12. Yep, the rear clamps are mounted on the back part of the boot frame. Reckon there'd be a small amount of space underneath the roof when it's stowed if you remove all the gubbins underneath the carpet. Not a standard interior, by the way. Fortunately, Scooter (the previous owner), has impeccable taste and left me with a UK interior which makes for a very nice contrast with the colour of the car. If you don't get inundated with replies in the meantime, I should be able to get a few more pictures of the boot area tomorrow.
  13. These any good to you, Steve? Haven't got any pictures of the boot/fixings without the roof in there, though.
  14. 30 minutes on Photoshop, I'd say.
  15. How much do they weigh and how does that compare to an OEM bonnet, Nic? Not interested for myself, but the information may be of use to someone thinking about one.
  16. Depends how pedantic you're feeling as no team has ever defended the Champions League successfully. The European Cup, of course, is a different matter.
  17. We only put our hands in our pockets to make sure nobody else can take any money out.
  18. A stickered up Impreza Wagon is fairly rare. Looks like it's got some heavy tints and no roof bars as well, the latter of which is very distinctive as most had them fitted apart from the odd UK car for some reason. In any event, that incident happened 6 months ago so if they've haven't found that car by now, it's probably unlikely they're going to now.
  19. Standard! I saw the mesh and the bling wheels and I thought it must be some sort of 'bad boy' motor vehicle.
