  1. I decided to get it, traded in mw2 and got the game + 3 months live for £27. Bargain!!
  2. cheers for the info. I didnt actually realise the Graphics memory counted towards the manageable memory in a 32bit system! looks like 64 bit is the way forward!
  3. To be fair you found it cheaper and you tried to get a discount which they didnt offer. Not really o2's fault just go with the cheaper one. When i left o2 they offered me free broadband for a year and discounted rate but wasnt an iphone. iphone's from what ive noticed are pretty tied down on contracts and prices because of apple, they are like their own government!
  4. Thanks by the way was a great read. Looks like the difference is minimal like you say and most likely is the processor may become the limiting factor.
  5. It does Gav hence sticking to 4gb as I said...not made of money lol... It's a dell who always do things their own way!. Which now means I don't have to run 64bit os either as Wez mentioned unless you guys think I'll be soon wishing I had gone 64bit I was considering a server os but no point eating resources for no reason, how is game support on windows 7 now? Ok I'll say my limit for graphics card.... £100 Everyones advice greatly recieved 4yrs witout getting my hands on some good tech and I'm like a fish out of water!!
  6. Being a server obviously throughs in a nice twist... Plus being dell. So think I'll be buying 4gb memory to start with. I have no clue on graphic Cards nowadays.£70 get me a good enough one or is it like good old days of £200 be much better 
  7. Ive been given an old server and want to use it for gaming. Its not old old. and has two Xeon 3Ghz processors, Memory im upgrading to 4Gb minimum may go for 6Gb. Hard drive's are scsi, so are nice and fast so I think its a good base for a good spec gaming machine for now. Only issue is it says in the spec sheet PCI Express one full-length x4 lane (slot 2) one full-length x8 lane (slot 3) Is this going to effect me much by not being 16x? Any recommendations in this area for a specific graphic's card? Should i just get a 16x one and it will run at 8x speed fine? Bit out of touch on PC hardware other then low spec built in PC's as have been gaming on the Consoles for a while now.
  8. .....for Android only im afraid. From android market place or link below http://www.handango.com/catalog/ProductDetails.jsp?storeId=159&deviceId=2433&platformId=80&productId=281476&utm_source=Perm&utm_medium=Promo&utm_campaign=ANGRYBIRDS thought some people might find it useful.
  9. well i reckon the blow diffuser is similar in mapping style to what turbo lag is in the mapping. As that uses overun / idling engine to keep something working which requires certain conditions. My guess regarding some sort of traction control....rather then monitoring wheels, they maybe work out maximum amount of fuel that could be required with perfect grip for that speed / rpm and limit the fuel in the map somehow! if the engine looks to be about to require to much fuel it hits its limit as such and cant overrev for the speed and give more wheel spin.....who knows but i like my theory hence why they have a certain map for the way to the grid...the launch and the race, all varying slightly to give so much wheel spin.
  10. You are right size is everything The contrast ratio is only 1000:1 and Plasma TV's are known for their black's becoming white'd out over time and as id use it purely for gaming, contrast is important. So im out. good luck with sale though!
  11. How old is it and how many hours has it been watched? I dont know if the hitachi has a menu to find this out like other TV's, cheers
  12. Image retention is the main problem with Plasma's for gaming and i was worried! they are rated as 1. panasonic 2. LG 3. Samsung Sony im not sure of but i know the panasonic is the best. However the prices of panasonic are much higher. I went for a LG 50PK590 its about £630 at moment. Image retention is minor and only holds it for few seconds on a black screen every so often. TV has been perfect with built in freeview HD and network port so can watch movies from my PC with no xbox or media device running. Couldnt fault it, on Avforums the screen has been compared to the panasonic one and said to be just as good with only slight differences. Only point id say (doesnt cause me an issue) is the screen is very reflective...if you are gonna have direct light or brightness on to the screen it will turn into a mirror so stay away if thats the case. I did note though the TV has 51ms of picture lag apparently although it doesnt effect me and hard to even see it (not sure I even have)
  13. No ones laughing....As long as the team I look after at work dont find out, ill be fine and we can watch this be pruned off eventually
  14. I read story on this the other day, there is more then this video shows. It allows you to race 2 cars on the same track, so this 4 lane circuit actually allowed 8 cars.
  15. It gets worse in fact id used similar command of >> this morning to append a file..... So im just going to go home for the day...I think its best before I break something
  16. Im struggling with something I shouldnt be I have a Dos file script pulling some netstats that I need etc... and im importing into an SQL database fine etc... and im displaying in a refreshing web page etc... Great Now all i want to do is run a Dos command to save the current logged on user to a txt file...and im failing I know the variable is %username% as i can get it to screen I just cant get in to the file....Im really having a major brain block anyone know the answer
  17. Seems so long ago now, i was just remembering how shit he was!
  18. Finally taken the lead...but will it last!!!!
  19. I dont know but your title is wrong before anyone orders this thinking you get black ops and 12 months membership for £35
  20. Ive read this is what caused the delay to GT5...making them use the new SDK so it cant be copied using this method.
