  1. Purple, blended skirts no rear spoiler TT auto looked like? Right opposite my mum and dads house...dad tells me you were at your girlfriends;)...i was visiting them for the day, had the Audi though as the dog hates sitting in the boot of the supe:D
  2. If your girlfriends really fat then 38 psi might be alright but otherwise stick to the recommended pressure's...laden and un-laden do differ so check your manual. Oh if she really likes under steer go a bit higher;-)
  3. maybe its a bit expensive? The recession wont be helping you either! nice plate though :-) good luck with your sale......

    MOT Fail

mark and count the turns and you shoulnt have to do the tracking....
  5. silver /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_oops.gif
  6. My sister lives in the states...perhaps i could get a load delivered to her and then she could box em off to me? and it was my birthday the other month and she didn't get me a present...oooh no tax then;)
  7. Oil pressure is higher than water pressure....emulsification of the engine oil is usually down to condensation trapped within the crankcase breather system this will rest at the most upper part of the engine...that being your rocker cover and oil filler cap. If you not convinced that its your H.G gone, carry out a few simple tests. 1, a coolent pressure test (to see if it can maintain a high pressure)a coolent pressure tester will be required for this! 2, Poss missfire on first start up whilst the coolent system is still under pressure(wait for 15 mins or so before starting thus allowing coolent to enter the cylinder chamber) If 2 is present than exhaust gases will also be detected in the coolent overflow bottle and you can get a tester for that also to verify. I assume you have checked your oil level to see if you have lost any...might only be a little.
  8. Beautiful car...just ditch the badge off the bonnet and the one on the active spoiler and paint the wiper blades black, makes it look sh*t....sorry to sound harsh but it really does spoil it imo. Do you have the original wheels? could help with sale...if i didn't have mine i would be round in a flash...i had a white UK one years ago, loved it!! Good luck, priced well too :-)
  9. you have not said how it is vibrating?? through the car under heavy braking...will be rears!or felt through the steering wheel under normal to heavy braking, then it will be the front! Would be an idea to check for the cause too...sticking calipers or slides, if you take it for a spirited drive with some nice heavy braking, to get them nice and hot you might source it by jacking one wheel up at a time right after this...give each wheel a spin and check for binding or a disc much darker than the rest...or something else which is called fishtailing these are lines running across a disc and look for hot spots(high spot areas)...these can all cause brake judder, please note though sometimes these are on the inside of the brake disc and can not be seen from the outside through the wheel. better still if you have a friendly mot mate get him to run it on the rollers to check for brake imbalance. If not a dti gauge will also show it up, but you really have to know what your looking for when doing that... hope this helps a little and good luck :-)
  10. There are worst cars to get...ib5 gearbox now a bit dated but if it aint broke dont fix it,but clutch thrash and bearing noise can sometimes be heard! so you guessed it they can still be found today on some Ford models...probably the best fun per pound you will get...be warned though the early models do suffer some rust in places. If you can go for the 1.3 overhead cam engine(duratec)...its the best out of the bunch see here for more info...http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/index.htm?md=106
  11. They will fit but iam sure the spring rates are not the same for the n/a....it might look a little high on the front? The TT engine is heavier... But i might be wrong...anyone?
  12. came of my facelift 96 TT with 60k on the clock...no probs with these at all. £100
  13. Front and rears off a facelift 96 year j spec TT...done 59,000miles £40 Look at the facelift in my gararge
  14. mine has the 4 spoke steering wheel, i thought the three would have been with the tiptronic and manual, standard auto had the four with airbag. Sorry ark ;-) Jamesy... he not a bad fella, bought my second decat off him and he's was a true gent :-) good price imo too......
  15. Are they all straight? no buckels ect....you can only really tell when they are put on a wheel balancer...look at the inside edge, as these are where they usually go.Also what are the threads like in the centre( where the caps bolt on) some strip and then need helicoils.... Cheers :-)
