Good point H. I think I had better read the sentencing report again but I am sure the judge concluded that even though it was a sheepish incident, the fact that I had been with so many dogs in the past meant he would not allow any more

My son (who won't be 21 until September) has his own car insurance on his Saxo GTS with 2 years NCB. I also have insurance on my MR2 and as I have to go away for a month in June to finalise my affairs on Kos, I was wondering if the d rule of him driving my car on his insurance is still in force? I seem to recall the wording being something like he would be providing I gave permission but would only be covered third party. Is that correct or am I talking ball cocks?

I think there is definitely a place in the market for sensibly priced UK sourced cars. When I was selling them I found that a lot of people were not able to pay premium prices for fresh imports and were looking for (what they considered) better value cars that had already been driven over here. Now, whether there is enough of a market for Supra's alone is another thing but I think it would certainly be worth looking into more detail.

Methinks this type of advice will fall on deaf ears. Sadly, some people only hear what they want to hear and not what is reality.

Thanks guys. Spoke to the palliative care team today and have an appointment booked for Friday morning. I'm pretty sure it is down to arthritis rather than the cancer as the pain is infrequent and usually only when lying down. Unfortunately that means very little sleep and hence the need to cancel as a 3 hour drive, 6 hour meet and 3 hour reverse drive after a night of no sleep could prove to be somewhat dangerous! I hope that after Friday I will be in a better state and will look to organise another day within the region ASAP.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I have to cancel the event. I am sorry for the hassle but I hope to do another within the region in the not too distant future.

Folks, I will let you know ASAP re what is happening as I don't want to mess people about. I am awaiting a call from my palliative care Doc regarding a sudden and dramatic rise in the pain in my hips and back. I'd had that under control up until about a week ago but suddenly it has gone hay wire and so I am looking to change the meds / dosage. The one good thing is that in order to feel pain you have to be alive - so that's a positive!
