I wish these would fit an MR2!
-
No Gaz. That's the price O2 quoted which would have been fine but to get that done I would have to get an O2 PAYG sim card, send that to Greece, have her top that up for £15, then wait up to 28 days (so they told me) for an unlock code to be sent. She'd rather pay more but is worried about the online scammers out there and so I was asking if anyone had used a reliable source before so I could tell her where to buy.

Nobody?

That is looking mighty good Dai. I am going down to see the MR2's this weekend and will hopefully be picking up a full dash panel set for you to look at

I was thinking the same. These cars are getting older and sometimes big (and I mean proper big) bills are just around the corner.

Well, its either very good or nobody can be asked to comment

Post up how much he thinks - but plan on going back and accepting the £80 quote

A friend of mine who lives on Kos recently came home for a visit and bought a PAYG HTC Smart mobile phone from a friend of hers. Now Lillian is not the sharpest knife in the rack and assumed that all she had to was put her Greek SIM in when she went home and all would be good. Alas, that is not the case and it is locked to the O2 network. Unfortunately for her, O2 do not supply SIM cards for Greece and so she is a bit stuck. I spoke tp O2 tonight and they will supply an unlock code but only after she registers the phone with a new O2 sim and tops up by £15. I tried to explain that she was in Greece but he said that's the only way. Which leads me to the question above. Does anyone know of a reliable and relatively inexpensive company that supply's unlock codes please?

Now this really made me chuckle

Titan Motorsports Copper Supra rebuild for 2012 - going for the worlds quickest
CJ replied to nero's topic in Supra Chat
Exactly! What a great thread and a superb build. Loving your work Nero! -
A parent somewhere will never see their son again. A child will be asking why Daddy isn't coming home. A wife or girlfriend will know they will never hold their man again. Very sad indeed - RIP

I am awaiting the go ahead from the forum(s) to start to sell raffle tickets for the items listed here but in the mean time, I would like your thoughts on how to sell online and therefore generate more sales than by just selling on the day. I am thinking of advertising on all the current forums that tickets can be bought at (for example) £2. You can pay via making a donation through the justgiving charity site (listed in my sig) for the number of tickets you wish to purchase. When you buy, you put the forum and your forum name down. You will then be allocated (on a first come basis and in buying order) a ticket number which will then be held on a separate list something like this: 1. CJ mkivsupra.net 2. Joe bloggs IMOC 3. Joe Bloogs IMOC 4. Fred Bloggs MR2OC 5. AJengines twobrutal I then publish a list on all the forums (with regular updates) that shows what number ticket you have purchased. I can then organise 2 sets of raffle tickets (one colour to show the online sales and one to be sold on the day of the draw at Austec and use the list to match up the tickets that get put into the hat to be able to identify the winner should they be lucky enough to get drawn out. Those tickets sold on the day will have the recipients details held on the stubs held in case they leave before the draw. I can make sure that everyone is aware of a cut off date and time for purchasing online and so nobody will be buying and not getting a ticket. What do you think? Any drawbacks? Negatives?

TBH, I wasn't sure what to expect - although I was secretly hoping for scantily clad dancing girls In the past I had watched some of these and thought, "Wow, that's very clever" but this time it did nothing for me. Maybe the Steve Jobs effect was missing? I certainly felt the presenter lacked the enthusiasm normally associated with an Apple event and seemed to mention turnover and sales quite a lot which, for a consumer like me, is not too relevant.
-
I have to admit to not being too well up on the tech side of things but TBH, I expected more of a wow factor than the event actually gave.
-
I am just working out the finer details to enable people to buy online and will then clear it with the forum mods to make sure it's ok. Should be a goer by the end of play today
-
It looks as if this is it then. Can I ask you all to send me a pm with your exact requirements and, if possible, links to the model / style gauges you want prices for. I will then contact the sellers in the UK and see what they come back with.
