But that's what worries me as none of those people bought it even though he said at the beginning he would stop the auction for a bid of £8500. I am also always wary of any auction whereby a bidder with no feedback storms in and then seems to stop once the figure of £8500 is met. Now, I am not saying that this is a bad car - if it is genuine then it is a bargain - but I would definitely have wanted to have a good view and a drive before I bid and bought.

They are crap. In independent tests, they came out out as the worst after market filter available due to their very poor filtration. The Apexi came out on top.

I agree - providing it is not accident damaged write off, fecked engine, etc etc.

I have spoken to the seller a few times and he seems genuine enough. I have no idea about the car though although I have to say it does look very nice indeed. Bear in mind, that the price has not met the reserve yet

That doesn't make sense to me at all. People buy a restrictor ring to stop the car from overboosting / boost creep when they decat. The ring they buy is supposed to be set for (as an example) 1.1 bar. It isn't purchased on the understanding that the car could boost higher at certain gears because, if it was, what would be the point of fitting it? I was always led to believe that the ring held the boost at a given level and that a BC was then fitted to increase the boost to the desired level.
