  1. Well the company that warrenteed them use a independant specialist, Turbo dynamics (christchurch) to contract the work too, i took the turbos there and they said they think its been done by a screwdriver no way by a fault in the car but dont want to get involved! They were really good and i explained the situation and they said they will fix it free of charge as a goodwill gesture! top bloke!! The problem is i use the sup daily as it is my only form of transport, the garage have the sup at the mo, everyday im without it is a pain so want it back asap. If they were gonna try and charge me it would be a different matter but as they will do it foc then i wont persue it anymore. i just wondered what you guys thought, could it be an accidental screwdriver mishap? or no way that was done on perpose? or it can be bits from air intake?? and would this have effected performance or caused damage/strain elsewhere?? so many questions lol james
  2. Thats a good price and a good screen, we have one of these where i work and there very good value for money but our price is a bit more than that
  3. Thats what i thought, there are no other marks on them at all, no sign of anything going in, no light scratches or marks on any other blades.
  4. As most of you are aware ive been having an ongoing saga with my hybrids and seals going, they went again and the garage have taken them off under warrenty to get the seals re-done again (3rd time) When the took them off they found one of the blades were bend! thay told me something must have gone through the airfilter and hit the turbo??? surely if this was the case there would be other marks aswell?? to me it looks like it was done with a screwdriver? Delibrately or not?? Wot do you guys think? well at least i found the reason my cars been slow and sluggish james
  5. Sony still produce 37" and 42" plasmas? Most of the problems you hear related to plasma are myths and arnt as common as people make them seem. As others have mentioned AVforums is a good place to look
  6. I dont know if you have my name down but i paid mawby in jan at our local car meet but ive not recieved anything. Cheers
  7. Im with tesco and my quote for renewal was £1400 with declared mods, after reading this i thought id give sky a call, they quoted me 1550!?!? But.. when he quoted me he said that they will insure the car for what its worth realistically but tescos will only insure me book value! I checked with tesco and asked them this and they guy told me if i had an accident and wrote my sup off i would get 8k!! I then said even though ive declared my modifications and ive had to pay a higher premium because of this, are you sure its only 8k he replyed "yes sir we only cover you for the book value!" Well after this sky will be getting my buisness for when i have to renew, and i would check with your insurers how much they pay out as i would be extremely p****d if tesco only paid me 8k Thankyou guys for sorting this out James
  8. I got my order in but not recieved that email yet! im sure it wont be long though
  9. As far as i know all of screens have the capabilites of Hi-Res but for those that cant recive it directly, there is going to be a "freeveiw box" style add on through your standard scarts. I would personally go for plasma as i personally think its the better format (no viewing angle problems etc). The Panasonic panels are very good value for money but it depends if money is an issue? before you buy i would recomend you to look in to the Pioneer screens and the Philips "Pixel plus" screens james
  10. Heres mine, not best quality pics, doesnt show the kandy red to well but their the most recent
  11. Car looks great mate, is that the ex-CRD supra in the bottom pics?
  12. Whatever you do make sure you go to the right people, when my stock turbos went i wanted big single and was avised for a everyday drive it would be c**p and hybrids were the way! (they also said 600bhp was achieveable!!!) I didnt know any better at the time and went this route, after paying way over the top i now wish i had gone single. The hybrids are good but for bigger power then single is the best way

  14. Fancy an engine swap! yer i need to get mine rolling roaded but dont think theres anywhere local that can do it, theres a place in fareham opening called 0-60 and there getting a rolling road next month but not sure if it will be anygood or not? might be worth a try?
  15. It was a good turnout, nice to see the locals again Elliot - Slightly faster, it was like i didnt have any turbos you slaughtered me!! Think i might ask for a re-match once my hybrids and boost controller are sorted
  16. After the recomendations i think ill be going for some CW pads, Braided lines, and new discs. i like the sound of the rotora discs any other recomendations? Also i like the look of drilled/vented discs but are they really not worth having? do they really cause more wear on the pads?
  17. I dont have huge amounts of money for this so im looking for my "best spent/value" option. So im probably looking at a set of CW pads, braided lines and new fluid. I also need discs. Terawua - Where did you get your discs from? are they better than stock ones??
  18. How many pot are standard j-spec brakes? i been offered some second hand brembo calipers for £300 fitted is this good? i think the previous owner had them on a pulsar but not sure
  19. i think all of them are?! to be honest its not boosting properly at all and i had a company polish all my turbo pipework and i think its not done right, ill get pictures over the weekend to show you what i mean, just wanted to see other peoples just to confirm

  22. Sometimes i wish i had gone for 6speed just because of the "omg its an auto" thing, my mates always make comments but still dont wanna take me on!! Personally i do love the auto box and makin the dump valve pssst has never been a problem!
  23. Cheers Chris ill send u an email
  24. Thanks mate, any more pics would be good also
  25. I have a jspec sup and need some discs and pads, i just have a few qusetions, What do you guys use? Should i just use standard replacement parts? This would be the time to upgrade the braking system, what do you guys normally do? just go for UK brakes? I dont know much about it so dont get technical i just wondered what other people have done, my mate has offered me some 4pot calipers at a good price etc but not sure if i need 4pot or 6pot?? i havent got a clue Cheers james
