  1. Hi I just wondered if anyone had pics of their boost controller installs? I would like to see the connections on the engine side rather than in car! My solinoid has some vaccumme hoses coming off and i think they are wired in wrong so i just wanna check compared to what other installs are like. Pic pic pics please James
  2. LOL did u enjoy your grill?? saw u parked up waiting but wasnt 100%sure it was you (like your wing doesnt give it away!) If i had known u were comin back i would have waited mate, but then it was bloody cold!! Oh and to be a chav do you have to own somethin burberry?? hmmm i need a retrim!
  3. Ian c - ill try and get all the info for you cheers, Dyno is a great idea, ill look into that. Nic - they are stage 3 hybrids, If it helps my other mods are:- i have no cats! 3" straight through stainless exhaust, twin induction kit, Custon FMIC, TRL FCD, Turbosmart E-boost controller. Its going in to get checked in couple of weeks so hopefully will have some new light on this situation. James
  4. yes they were ceramic before but i went hybrid to be better, faster, and more torquey surley it wouldnt make it worse?? if it is i want my ceramics back! ian - i thought it might be leaking boost but i didnt know if this was possible? as i said before, the gauges are reading a boost just you cant feel it on turbo 1, would it be leaking from after the the gauge fittings?
  5. very good sig i want one
  6. I have been experiencing some problems but not sure if anyone can put any light on the matter? When boosting on turbo 1 the boost gauge reads upto anythin between 8-15psi depending how much i put my foot down but, it doesnt seem to feel torquy at all, when turbo 2 kicks in at approx 4000rpm the car seems to fly and feels as it should. My question is, ive just had an engine rebuild for which the engine is now run in, i have a problem with one of the turbo seals as when i boost it smokes during and after. Before the rebuild you could really feel turbo 1 kick in and now you dont even notice (but i could never feel turbo 2 properly) is this set up properly? or could this be due to say turbo 1 seal has gone and is effecting the performance? I must stress tho the my boost gauge is registering the boost but i cant feel it! since i went hybrid with them they are reaching the boost and speed id expect but dont feel as torquy as the original turbos!?!? this cant be normal can it? Any ideas? i want to take this up with the tunning place but they will just say its normal. any ideas opinions would be great. Cheers James
  7. Ive been to see Charlie (B'have) today, Top Bloke i will be taking the car back to the garage on wed and demanding they look at the turbos. I have 3 seperate opinions from independant mechanics now, all have said that the turbos are to blame. just hope i get some where as small claims courts are lot of hasstle. James
  8. i thought id put some pics up, i cleaned it on wed and have done approx 50miles since. Its been standing all day..... On start-up/idle.... http://usera.imagecave.com/Suprachargedtt/new/IMG_0010.JPG Oil residue, over the intercooler pipe... http://usera.imagecave.com/Suprachargedtt/new/IMG_0012.JPG Under the induction kit pipe... http://usera.imagecave.com/Suprachargedtt/new/IMG_0014.JPG And finally over the turbo heatsheild towards the rocker cover.... http://usera.imagecave.com/Suprachargedtt/new/IMG_0015.JPG I hope this gives a better idea (sorry bout the size of the pics, and as i said this is only after approx 50miles James
  9. No if it was like that i wouldnt say anything, its the same as the pictures in the first link, its flowing out!
  10. Cheers for the advice, after the rebuild i had a list of problems for which this company said was normal even though i insisted it wasnt. I went to TOYODATECH and they sorted most of the problems out at my expence on which they wrote a full report. In the report it states that its turbo seals gone, but as they didnt take anything apart to conclude this, the rebuild company have just brushed this report aside! i spoke to them today and he is adament its oil in the intercooler! they said even though i have run the engine in for approx 2200miles it will take at least another 1000 before the oil sorts itself out!!! B'ave P'md back
  11. I will name the company, and this is only the tip of the iceberg as they say but not until all is sorted. B'have it would be great if you could look at it for me, i dont know bournemouth that well if you can pm me with where n whens best for you, Thankyou James
  12. The dumpvalve is pre-intercooler, i know it hasnt been flushed after the rebuild. ive asked them to sort it as i have spend thousands with them but they dont seem to want to know, the replys i get are:- if we take the turbos out and it aint the turbos we will charge you labour approx 6hrs or they will still charge me to drain the intercooler! (is it just the intercooler that needs draining or is it all the pipes aswell?) oh if it makes a difference the intercooler was fitted after the rebuild but while it was in for that job.
  13. Hi before anyone asks i have done a search for this but not finding anything usefull. I have just had a recent engine rebuild approx 2200miles ago and since day 1 there has been oil leaking through the bov when this never happened before the rebuild. There is smoke coming from the exhuast white mainly but when i drive you get blasts of blue smoke after i have just boosted or during boost. the oil coming out of the bov looks exactly the same amount as in the pics from this thread here The company who done the rebuild said that this is normal and that the intercooler could be full of oil and needs draining? i checked the pipe from the turbos to the intercooler and this had oil in it so i pressume it is the seals? i dont know if hes trying to blag it as the turbos (hybrids) were fitted by him and are still under warrenty. basically when ever i question this i get the feeling im bein blagged and i just wanted other peoples opinions as to what they think it is as i want to go down there and have some ammo under my belt type thing so i cant get blagged again! Whatever they do, if its not the fault they are going to charge me! eg take the turbos out to check and its not them there gonna charge me 6 hours labour and i still aint got a result! just for info the mods i have are Full stainless decat exhaust (no ring) boost controller, induction kit, hybrids, fcd. as i said any opinions would be great James
  14. Just got a set of denso ik24 off of envy, ill let you know how good they are after the weekend! :flame Dev

  18. Hi ive not posted pics of my supra on here before and as i just had some neons fitted id thought id take this opertunity to show it off!
  19. Thanks for your kind words, it was my Candy red sup, it was nice to meet up with u guys and the blast was fun, didnt realise u guys were goin back to fareham so when we got to junction 9 i went home! DOH! James
  20. cool did i say i had hybrids? lol i will try and get a quote from adrian flux and see wot he has to say, the reason i went to tesco was because they were the only company i found that would insure me with a jap import as im under 25! im in no rush at renewing at the moment as im ok till april 1st, it just gives me time to get some good quotes. cheers for the feedback
  21. hmmm this is where i get confused because i can argue my turbos are like for like replacement but realistically there an upgrade! so who do you insure with?
  22. I want to declare everything but at that quote i was gobsmacked ! and yes when i was explaining the mods the geek on the phone didnt have a clue wot i was on about! so who are you guys or gals with?
  23. hi i have my insurance with tesco and im paying £1200 a year with 4 years no claims. its due for renewal soon so i asked then if i was to get mods done how much would it cost etc. i got quoted.... £7000 per year as i have most these mods done already i was wondering where every other modded supra got there insurance from as i beleived tesco to be the cheapest at the time? on the bright side, at least i can get insured!
