1. Quick update on the electrical issues I had. Removed complete dash to inspect everything.. Illumination was due to a burnt wire from the body plug. Had to replace complete wire in the loom plus the dimmer. Heater blower motor was dead as well, thanks to Keron for getting me that next day delivery. Tach resistor keeps burning, replaced with a new one 43k ohm worked for 5min died again :D
2. what about this one? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-3-0-AEROTOP-TARGA-AUTO-SZ-STUNNING-CAR/392995401830?hash=item5b8059f066:g:AJYAAOSw18BfiqwX
3.
The tacho I have is for an auto. Is that ok?
Hey, Thank you for your response but I wont need it no more :) I have just soldered a new 43k ohm resistor and it started working! If your one ever fails, drop me a message i will show you what needs to be fixed.
4.
When I get home I’ll dig it out for you. I bought it as a spare from Keron when my own tacho needed modifying for V8 pulses. Sounds like you’re already on it with the circuit checks :)
I just bought 43k ohm resistor from ebay for tach pulse na cluster, i dont think it will help but worth a try :)
5.
Pretty sure I’ve got a spare. Have you checked the electrical connections at the back of the tachometer are all ok? Maybe even along the circuit as I saw not long ago someone’s had lifted and broke in the flexible plastic.
plastic circuit is all nice and clean, went through it with voltmeter and seems to be all good. I have bypassed the resistor for testing same you do on NA to TT swap and now the needle jumps on and off, so it kind of shows the rpm for millisecond.
6. Hi all, My tachometer stopped working, looking a for a replacement piece.
7. Relay clicks with no issues, also when I test with voltmeter 12v comes to dimmer once lights are turned on.
8. Cluster seems to look fine, how comes middle plug connects to nothing? https://scontent-lhr8-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.15752-9/121672438_340386527176211_5270291022321392378_n.jpg?_nc_cat=107&_nc_sid=ae9488&_nc_ohc=qzss05zJkksAX_5tuIF&_nc_ht=scontent-lhr8-1.xx&oh=295bcafe2fc0a9d421034c0397abebe5&oe=5FAEB8B0
9. I think it might have a bad connection in general as when I move the plugs around while they are plugged in, Lights on the heater goes on and off.
10. Thank you, i will try to take this out tomorrow to check the back of it.
11. Hi All, I bought a 1994 2JZGE Supra with couple of issues. None of the illumination work in the dash, heater does not blow but you can adjust from cold to hot and that works. Tach does not work either, all other gauges including speed do work. I tried going through interior fuses but they all seem to fine, unless there is one missing? I don't have a cover to check. If it is not a fuse related, anyone has any sugestions?
12. Hi All, I am looking for a supra project. Ideally NA/Manual I am open to any offers. Regards, Ed
13. So finally got the trims back in, it actually looks better than i thought they will after plasti dipping got the new leather gaiter in place with new knob aswell.
14. Started slowly getting those old trims sorted as they were in a really bad shape, including manual trim which is completely different colour. Got the Plasti Dipped today just need to wait until they are dried out fully so i can put everything back together
15. Getting there slowly by working on the last tiny bits also got it washed first time after respray and it is looking absolutely perfect
16. I think I have addiction for 90s jdm`s. Picked this beautiful original with coupe little mods 1997 facelift Mk4 Supra. Drives really nice and the car is in very good condition i would say 8/10 for the age :)
17. Finally I have upgraded to Torsen LSD a02b. Car feels so much better now and easier to drive with the torsen compared to the previous a01a open diff.
18. Finally car is now lowered, interior and exterior is 90% done. Slowly we are getting there Small bits left and its time for the roads!
19. I had a good lough when i have read that lol, come on lets be real 500bhp on manual boost controller and tuned stock ecu I`d say maximum 350bhp
20. At least 1k needs to be spent on that supra I think.. interior seems to be tatty same as exterior. From description it kind a feels that the car doesnt have a proper remap aswell, and it just runs manual boost controller.
21. Hi All, I am selling my drift build Soarer 1jz/r154 and one guy offered me px for this na-t supra/w58 plus 1.5k on top, do you think it is worth it? I am thinking maybe its easier to sell a fixed up supra than a drift car as not a lot of people wants a drift car. Supra needs some love, but all of that can be sorted.
