  1. The bigger the turbine housing the longer it will take to spool up. Regardless of turbo size, hotter outlet temperatures will mean reduced efficiency and thus power. The heat is mainly generated by the friction caused of the turbine spinning and is loosly proportional to RPM of the turbine. It's difficult compare likenesses between different turbos without actually like for like testing them. The explosiveness of the air is not effected by the temperature. Beacuse the air is hotter and has expanded, you require more of it. The mass air flow used will be the same, however, the volumetric flow (corrected for pressure and temperature) will be much higher. This effect gets gretaer and greater with increasing pressures and temperatures. Not really a proper answer to your question but I hope it helps a little.
  2. 32 psi wont be too far away. I ran my 275/35/18 and 245/40/18 at that with no problems.

    fun car

I'd take it for 12K! I know a guy who has a supercharged 350Z, or did anyway. He put it in for its service with Nissan and the guy driving it blew it up!! He's now bought second hand engine form a wrecked one, that after much deliberation, Nissan will fit for him for free. He's selling the 5K supercharger kit now.
  4. My RSR is very annoyingly loud when cruising anywhere between 50-90MPH. Does sound ace though. Just really boomy on the motorway. Even with the baffle in.
  5. I'd say the are UK brakes. Yes, the rear light cluster hasn't been converted, but it's not difficult to do. And to have the light hanging down like that is legal. The stereo is also easy to convert with an Autoleads pocket adapter allowing you to install a single DIN head unit. These can be purchased from Halfrauds. Do a search and you will be able to get the part number. HTH
  6. PMSL, I thought you meant me last Saturday night. We came past you house at a 2:30 in the morning singning (shouting) and pushing one of our mates in a wheelchair! ASDA need a new one
  7. Thanks for reply guys. If Cornelius does buy the car he would have got a very good deal for the price I am letting it go for. Can't hold onto it for ever though. Lord knows I did try!!! Keep seeing you around WSB2, was round near your place the other week as well. Mind you, I've always known you 'get about' How is the Bournemouth crew these days?

    hi

What he said And it's not often I agree with Bobbeh
  16. He doesn't sound like he's got a clue. I've had my Jap import TT for 18 months without a sniff of a problem, and I drove it with hardly any gearbox oil in for about 2 months. The UK single turbo car was the MKIII and is a comnpletely different beast all together. I have NEVER had any problems getting parts, and Toyota, although expensive (what dealer isn't) has been pretty helpful, despit not really knowing much aboput the car. A trusted local garage does all the work to the Supra for a very good price when can't be arsed to do it myself. You should also note that I have both a manaul NA, and an auto TT and would happily recommend either. Don't be put off by misinformed people, have a read of stuff on here a decide for yourself. Oh and PMSL at CJ
  17. You should hang out for the TT dude, you will regert it otherwise. Or end up with 2 cars As previously said, Jurgen will sort you out with a good one. Unless Jurgen said otherwoise I wouldn't personally have a car with an auction grade of less than 4. Maybe 3.5 if Jurgens man thought it was okay and it only lost the mark on something minor. Hole in rear seat etc
  18. Jurgen, I have got to stop looking at that damn auction site of yours, I am very close to ending up with 3 Supes!!
  19. They are massively better. The j-spec ones are shit. They are okay for around the town, when you need more from the though they give up. The j-specs are 2 pots and have smaller discs, the UK's are larger and have 4 pot calipers.
  20. I could also be the contacts on your starter motor solenoid. Tbh if this has happened overnight it's more likely than the battery going. Either way its almost definetly one of them, can't you temporarily hook another battery up first to check it?
  21. Dave, that sounds like an exceelent idea to me mate. If only someone could do it.......
  22. Yes, more than likely. Providing there isn't anything to disturb the flow of gas through the exhaust it should be okay.
  23. Depends if you mean fastest registered person on this site, or person with the fastest Supra living in the UK
