  1. Thanks. That's a bit of a trek from me. Hopefully there's somewhere nearer The alignment thing has arms that clip onto the edge of the tyres, and then they have to do half a rotation of the wheel, which will make the arm catch the arch
  2. Hi everyone. I got my new alloys fitted last week, but because the car is sitting quite low in the arches, I couldn't get it laser 4 wheel aligned. Does anyone know anywhere in Herts that is able to do it on low cars, or is there some way around it? Not anything ive ever had to do before tbh Thanks
  3. Ah ok cool. Mine is still stock other than intake, but it'll be BPU soon enough. Sounds like a nice surprise then
  4. I'll post what ive found out, so this isn't a dead thread.... Apparently the Tom's has a more aggressive fuel map, timing map, higher fuel cut, and no speed limiter. I'm not sure how exactly, but someone said it's good for 550bhp, but seeing as it's still not mapable which I guess means you can't change turbo and injectors etc, I don't see how. Doesn't sound like a bad thing to have though
  5. Hi all. Just been poking around as you do with a relatively new car, and have found it's got a Toms ecu. Is that anything of interest or is it pretty standard stuff? Thanks
  6. I'm at whifbitz next Friday, I'll ask, or maybe even get mine done.
  7. I've just done some more googling to confirm, and the popular consensus is that the non vvti AND vvti gte engines are non interference, it's only the GE vvti that is interference, possible due to higher compression ratios
  8. Lol we're all on the same page here, but I can see what my mate was saying. Engine going at full whack, boosting away, and then something gives and suddenly the cams and pistons are all flapping about freely. I can see why he'd think that might not end well, even if the pistons and valves couldn't get too friendly with eachother
  9. Yeah I get that, just i was talking to a mate, and he said that he finds it hard to believe that if the cambelt let go at 6000rpm, full boost, nothing bad would happen. Brilliant if he's wrong. One less thing to worry about
  10. Ah ok. That's actually quite reassuring. Seeing as it does work, I don't see why all manufacturers don't do it. Engine rebuild just because the cambelt snaps or even gets taken out if the balance shaft belt snaps (known issue on evo's), seems a little risky. No longer my concern it seems
  11. Hi everyone. Been reading that the supra engine is non-interference. Well done Toyota, why risk it. But does that actually mean that if I'm thrashing it and the cambelt goes, nothing is going to break? Or will it still cause havoc somehow but the pistons and valves aren't on a direct collision course? Just pondering on a sober friday night, that's all Thanks
  12. Never should've posted my new wheels. Got people (ok 1 person haha) inboxing me asking how much I paid for them. God damn rotas
  13. Hey mate. It's the same bolt pattern as far as I know, but actual fitment i have no idea. Sorry
  14. Hi everyone. I must have missed the email about Rotas being the route of all evil lol but i wanted new wheels, these were on the whifbitz site and I liked them, job done. I've gone for 9s on the front with 245s, and 10.5s on the rear with 295s. They do look pretty sweet. But fair point on the Rays, they are lovely wheels, but they're not for me. Grab a bargain, they're going on eBay for 800 tonight. Starts at 7. No good sitting in my garage are they, hopefully someone gives them a good home. The new wheels. I think they look decent
  15. Bit of a bold statement seeing as you have no idea which Rotas I have lol but I'll take the comment to help me get a sale
  16. Only a few mate. Haven't had the car long. You can contact me on 07944350855 if you want to ask anything etc. Cheers
  17. Hi. Here I am selling my Volk Rays Gram Lights 57CR's. 114 x 5, 18 x 9, ET 12. They were on the supra I bought but used to catch when going over big bumps. I was surprised to find out that they're 350 a wheel if you can find them, maybe the PO lived somewhere with better roads than where I do so it wasn't an issue. It's very possible! I'm told with this offset and rolled arches you're Ok, but I just bought myself some nice rotas. They are as good as brand new other than some TINY touched up bits near where the wheel nuts go, I never even noticed until I thoroughly inspected the wheel before making this ad. you'd never notice unless actually looking for it. Other than that there's not a stone chip on them. They've got Goodyear eagle RS tyres on them that are also as good as brand new. Hard to measure but we're talking 8mm of tread. They're 2x 265/35/18 and 2x 245/40/18. At 350 a wheel and let's say 120 a tyre, this is near on 1900 quids worth of wheel here. Id take a £1000 Located in Royston, Herts Thanks
  18. Way ahead of ya worth giving a bump though actually
  19. Already spoken to him. Only got new liners. Will probably take the door plunger thing off his hands though. Thanks
  20. Hi. I need a new LH door light switch thing and front arch liners. Isn't this supra turning out to be the gift that keeps on giving haha. Rather not pay 300 to Toyota, anyone know some good breakers? Thanks
  21. Yeah mate, bought the fresh import 6 speed vvti that was on piston heads. The expensive wheels on it had the wrong offset so I've just ordered new Rota force drifts, and im getting it BPU'd to sort out what feels like fuel cut. Other than that it's not in bad shape really. Weren't cheap though but such is life. It's already got some poke, I think it's gonna feel pretty mental after the BPU. Already feels like it's not far off my 400bhp evo 9 in a straight line
