  1. Oooh, matron! I apologise for turning another serious thread into a farce
  2. I know plenty of places you can get head work for much less than £20,000
  3. Yes, they do come with ABS, the light should stay on (at the right hand side of the steering wheel) for a second or so when you start it up.
  4. I don't have a TRAC fuse........what can I do? 1,000 posts, woohoo!
  5. Had an RX-7 kick my ass only the other day! "I wasn't trying" is the official line.
  6. I can get a great deal of lag (if that's the right word for a non-turbo car) sometimes, if I let it drop below 3,000 or so and boot it. It's really rewarding once you catch it at the best revs for the first time, I quite like the slight boost at 4,500 personally, cos I only very rarely 'give it large'.
  7. Yes, most definitely. My NA is quite raucous apres 4,500 or so. If you keep it in gear slightly longer than you would a normal car, you can beat pretty much anything off the lights (150bhp boys will cry). I've had my car about 6 months now, and I've only really learned how to drive it 'properly' to coax juice out of it. Like yourself, I thought it would be a linear output...
  8. Max Power sticker in the window. Good for at least 80 brake.
  9. It might (might!) be worth having a word with a Lexus group, if there is one, as I'm pretty sure the engine in the NA is Lexus in origins.... That's what someone told me (Martin I think!) anyways.
  10. The loud clicking noise is exactly the same as I got a month or so back, when my battery was dead......clearly yours isn't though? Checked the contacts etc? Probably have.....
  11. Yeah, definitely it's only the drivers side window switch that lights up, you can see the LED in daylight.
  12. I believe Glenn Warren found his Supra (before the gold paint job) had a fair number of propeller blades of the turbos had come off and flown out of the exhaust....
  13. I'm pretty sure it's meant to come on for a second or so, then switch off when you start the engine. Or mine is also effed...
  14. I'd say yes, if things are okay, don't worry about it. Having a clean underside is all well and nice, but it isn't worth having an alarm that keeps going 'monkey poo' on its own accord.
  15. Quick word of warning - anyone with a Clifford alarm, do NOT get an under the car pressure wash thingy.....
  16. Oh! I've seen Escort vans with those in town. With a Supra though, I would have thought everyone was looking at the bodywork to pay attention to the road being blue!
  17. Blue lights under your car?
  18. I believe they all had heated mirrors apart from the few Supras with folding mirrors, and you activate them by switching the ignition on!
  19. I think the whole thing with folding mirrors, no matter what Supra it was fitted to, meant that it replaced having heated mirrors - ie, you could have one, but not both. And as we all live in within the Arctic circle (it seems to be cold enough to me) then I'd hold onto your heated mirrors tight as you can...
  20. You're in Dubai? Could you pick us up a Land Rover? My mate Quentin Wilson is looking to buy one....
  21. Pretty sure the US Supra has orange front side indicators just as we do.....they're positioned lower (almost on the corner of the car, like the rear side indicators are almost on the rear corners). Still looks sexier than the stock UK / Jap setup IMO.
  22. Hi Marcus, Where in the States are you? Is that your car? USA plates are soooo much sexier than UK plates, especially if they have that kind of message on. Did you de-badge the rear yourself? If so, how difficult was it to clean up? I'm still working on the pics of my front minus badge....I don't understand digital cameras...
  23. Because I'm ashamed to drive a Toyota.
