  1. Hey mate, thanks, I cleaned it earlier that day if I remember correctly! Same goes to you Yeah it's a TT. Almost full bpu (just need the fmic). Are you local to Cheltenham then or Gloucester? I was going to pull over and have a chat but my mates wanted to get food :/
  2. Anyone on here? It's rare I see any fellow supra owners around here! Obviously I was the one in the black stock looking one.
  3. Really good pics there! And thanks for taking some of mine! Thought mine might have been missed out being visually stock! Shame I missed the award part. It was good to meet some of you, hopefully I can get more involved in future meets!
  4. I think myself, Mike and maybe one or 2 others are planning on meeting at Warwick services. I was aiming to get there for 7:30 and leave by 8 aswell, although it might be best to meet at 7:00 and leave at 7:30 as the traffic will probably be poor. Alex
  5. VVTI auto (tiptronic) TT, stage 2 bpu: - Hks FCD std - Walbro 255lph fuel pump - Garage whifbitz 1st and 2nd decat (3") - 2" restrictor ring - eBay 3" catback (essentially a straight through) - NGK BKR7EIX spark plugs - New coil pack connectors - Depo boost gauge plumbed into the map sensor vacuum hose - New silicone vacuum hoses Other than that its stock engine wise.
  6. Was a good day yesterday (apart from the mobile speed camera on the way home) and good to meet you all! Running 269 at the wheels, which is some way off what I was expecting! It feels quick, and can easily beat a mates cupra K1 at stage 1 (300-310 bhp supposedly). The car hit the speed limiter on the dyno, so not sure if that had an affect or if it reached peak hp before that happened. When it comes to replacing my valve stem seals, i'll try and do an engine check/ overhaul.
  7. Hopefully! For those going via the M40... If we plan on arriving at Silverstone at 7:30-8:00am, then we'd need to meet at the services on the m40 at about 7am or a little before. I'll be stopping there anyway (that is unless anyone has a different suggestion?) just to get a coffee and maybe some brekky (i'll need to wake up!) I'll be in the black Y reg
  8. For anyone traveling down the M40, we could meet up at the Welcome Break Services (CV35 0AA)? I don't know what time we need to be there for yet.
  9. I'll be going via the M40, Joining at junction 15 by Warwick. Anyone plan on stopping off on the M40 somewhere to convoy the rest of the way?
  10. In the unlikely event that this sale falls through, can I call 2nd dibs on the clear lenses?
  11. Your selling 3 weeks too late! Just had to replace mine 3 weeks ago!
  12. One or two friends of mine want to get their cars dyno'd soon. Do people mind if 1-2 cars that aren't supras tagging along? Or is that a definite no?
  13. Good to hear! At least there will be some familiar faces then idk if we are planning to enter japfest as a group rather than individually. It'd probably be easier!
  14. I was still looking at the old thread for updates! Only just noticed you started a new thread Looking forward to this, then on stand at japfest 2 weeks later! 1. Glanza_Mike 2. Big Mark 3. Azam 4. Sheefa 5. Littler 6. Parm_93 7. Bluecoupe46

  16. I'm happy with either, Dynodaze is a bit closer for me and the rates seem good, but i'm happy either way! Dates shouldn't be a problem (hopefully!).
  17. I'd be up for meeting a few from the forum, especially at a rolling road day! I live in Cheltenham, but work in Birmingham.
  18. For anyone who got a bit confused like myself, you cut into the Map wire on the VVTI, NOT the MAF.
  19. Hi Guys, I've been converting my supe to BPU (well stage 2 anyway). My car is a VVTI jspec auto. Having followed the instructions as best I could (in Japanese... Useful!), I wired the FCD into the MAF. Having driven the car for 10 minutes give or take and letting it warm up on idle for another 5-10 minutes it started misfiring badly I would like to know whether I was right to wire the fcd into the MAF rather than the MAP (remembering the car is a VVTI)? It seems strange to me, as the car was misfiring badly before I installed any bpu mods, I replaced the plugs, cleaned the plug well thoroughly, cleaned the coil packs and tightened the rocker cover bolts to spec as they were hardly even hand tight. After that the idle misfire went away, but i didn't drive it, so I don't know if the plugs fixed the original misfire... If I have done the correct thing by wiring the fcd into the maf pin on the ecu instead of the map, then what could be the cause of the misfire? I did a quick code check and it came back with maf and vvt system malfunction. The car only has 75k genuine miles on the clock with regular service history and the cleanest engine oil i have ever seen, so i can't see it being a ocv filter problem. As far as I can see it would have to be an electrical problem... Any ideas guys? Regards, Alex p.s. I have tapped into the Turbo pressure sensor hose to run the boost gauge... is this also going to cause a problem? If so where's best to tap into? Being the vvti, none of the threads i have found have a diy for the vvti, they just state tap into the y splitter which I haven't got. :/
  20. Cheers guys! Managed to gain better access to it by removing a plate that was in the way (can't remember what it connected to as it was a couple of days ago!). Now I have the problem of getting the banjo bolt out of the fuel pump assembly as it just keeps turning the whole fuel pump assembly!
  21. Hi all. I've been trying to remove the 1st decat on my Jspec TT auto VVTI for the past 2 nights... I have managed to get one bolt out and have managed to loosen another (which now won't turn very well at all as the bolt seems to have a flat spot in the middle! ). Now... Does anyone have experience of removing the 1st cat? I'm using axle stands so that car isn't very high... I have a universal socket, but the angles that I can attack the last bolt from are too great and just seem that they will snap either the bolt or the universal socket! Is there an 'easy' (well easier) way of doing removing the bolt without having to remove the entire manifold?!? p.s. my exhaust bolts have a torx ending to them which stops the nut from coming off! Which makes it even more of a pain! If I do have to resort to removing the manifold, i'm assuming I would need gasket sealer or new gaskets? Cheers, Alex
  22. I'll take it off your hands if the others don't! It helps that it's black as well as I won't have to paint it!
  23. Got mine through the post today as well! Nice surprise! And I finally have a Supra to stick the stickers in! Cheers Steve
