that gearbox will fit the supra with an adapter i can get from Australia?

yeah the R154 is what im after. and yeah i know some custom work will be needed but i have heard that the R154 is from a soarer? so a little more custom work may be needed?

yeah i am very interested in going for an R154 gearbox but would need a whole kit and i have heard they are hard to come by as they were originally used for soarers and people had to do some custom work to fit the supra?

Yeah im going to stay clear of the s15 box lol just want to make it a manual and be able to handle the power figures of around 650-700bhp until i can afford to do a v160 conversion

ah okay yeah just been browsing the interweb and they can only hold about 300bhp. how much would the w58 handle? and how much for the full conversion kit? wouldn't the r154 be a better box?

I want to swap my auto box to a 6 speed gear box. As i go through gearboxes like its no ones business and its getting a bit frustrating! i know the v160/ v161 are the best gearbox's to go for with the Supra but they are a fair bit out of my budget at the moment. And i know you can pick up a Nissan s15 gear box for around £850. i was wondering if anyone has had any experience doing this and if its possible? Was also wondering if anyone knows what kind of power figures these boxes can handle and if they can take also the torque. Also will the gear ratios be a problem? Or does anyone know of any other substitute to the V160 gearbox that can be put in the Supra and take a considerable amount of power. Thanks guys! [GRIN][/GRIN]
