  1. Yeah gonna get some miles on it and get the timing belt etc ordered. I've spoke to the garage. All fixed apparently. So getting an earlier train and collecting on Friday so I could pop round?
  2. I wont have the car till saturday i think, if i can get it friday i will let you know, i would but i couldnt take it that far knowing whats just happened, and it needs a timing belt change asap and valve stem seals :/
  3. ah no bother mate, ive bought some uk spec front brake and was gonna ask if i could fit one of my wheels to yours to make sure they clear the wheel before i fit mine, clutch wise, should be sorted now, the garage where waiting on a release bearing, so ive owned the car nearly 3 weeks and ive drove 30 miles lol
  4. Nice write up mate. Glad to see you've got it back together. Don't suppose your working on the supra this weekend?
  5. just had a read through and the car looks awesome mate, great attention to details!
  6. Hopefully it's that simple. Can't wait to get out in it!
  7. might be mate, ive just researched the car mot history through the dvla, it was first used in the uk in 2010, and mot'd with 40,503 miles recorded, the year after it had 41,234, after then being off the road for 2 years it was mot'd last week at 41,298 so its done very little miles in the uk! and its bearly moved in years. hopefully the garage will sort it
  8. UPDATE: the garage have took the box off to find this: A triple plate clutch and single mass flywheel. They say they are gonna clean the clutch and replace the release bearing and rebleed the pedal and hopefully that should sort it. The clutch and flywheel are in really good condition. Any theory's of why when lifting the pedal I didn't have any drive? Although the pedal did feel really light?
  9. Yeah mate. Drove perfect on and off boost. Then about a mile from home you could change down let the clutch out then 5 seconds later it would bite. Then turned it off. Back on and no clutch.
  10. It's a nightmare mate. Absolutely wounded. Just got it home. Went to lift the clutch. Nothing at all. Managed to nurse it a couple miles downhill to brass side prison so this could happen
  11. I thought oem was dual mass? The cars got a BPU so it would be silly not to upgrade the clutch atleast.
  12. Basically looking to change the clutch and fly wheel. I bought the car from a dealer. Got it home and the clutch went. So hoping to get him to sort it or me buy the clutch him the fly wheel. And him fit it. The cars back there now getting the box removed on Monday to investigate. Found this fly wheel http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=151002598709&index=5&nav=WATCHING&nid=50920974551 Thoughts? But can't seem to find a decent clutch which isn't too pricey (£400ish) All parts are for a 6 speed manual TT cheers JJ
  13. i will be in touch when i have all the parts
  14. price isnt a problem, so what do i need? the belt and tensioner?
  15. what cambelt kits the best to use? generic ebay or genuine toyota or one from partco or similar? what should i be looking for from a kit? also any specialist tools needed to fit it?
  16. collecting it friday lunch time, its only in middlesbrough. will have to pop round when ive got it! needs to see yours now that its painted! colour looks awesome
  17. well then it might just be condensation, realistically need to take the car out for a good long drive to see.
  18. i dont get it? - - - Updated - - - sounds more like it, big job?
  19. it doesnt really smoke on idle but it does smoke when rev'd so it could just be condensation, anyway a deposits been left on the car
  20. grey maybe a tint of blue, white 6 Speed TT, trust intercooler, blitz boost controller, hks fcon piggy back
  21. it was a grey smoke but did smell abit like oil, the guys gonna clean up the brakes, the brakes work but the discs are abit rusty, and hes gonna do an oil change too. well ive left a deposit on the car so hopefully it wont be too bad, dont mind getting my hands dirty
  22. Hi all, i went to look at a facelift tt supra the other day, it had been sitting in a paintbooth for 18 months, it started with fresh petrol and a battery but its smoking quite abit, the cars only got 41000k on the clock, so is it smoking because its been sat or could it be dried up seals in the turbos or valve stems? thanks jonny
  23. Cheers guys. I work away during the week so I couldn't do a Wednesday. But I will have alook in the NE section
