It is probably worth noting for everyone. I enquired about having this done with a local specialist who actually subcontract out to a company called CPS Drivelink who will fully strip down and refurbish the rack with all new internals and seals and refinish it cosmetically for a total cost of £142.50 plus vat and a £15 carriage charge. They are based in gateshead. Also comes with a 1yr warranty Hope this information is helpful

I've just crossed the part number there now for all 3 revisions of the steering rack and it only lists for a supra unfortunately:(

You should be able to have it reliably rebuilt and the gasket kit is readily available at reasonable money so it definitely is possible. Id say it depends on who you use to do it more than rebuilding the rack itself being a good or bad idea. Hope this helps!

Aye people have woken up to gearboxes now but lets not pretend that everyone on this forum didnt used to cream themselves everytime a pricey v160 came up for sale lol

Lol ok I'll concede that like everything there are exceptions but the vast majority are not doing this sort of money. Case in point - remember when everyone on here thought £4k was "very reasonable" for a used V160 and now the attitude is don't go near them unless that are significantly cheaper than that

lol my point is its hardly a comparable car due to spec and time period its been for sale. Personally not one for the Top Secret 90's thing but the point was its obviously a collectors item and therefore not a run of the mill Supra TT6 or otherwise that appear to be listed at silly money. Market price does not include items that take months and months to sell and there is specialist interest only for.

But they don't sell at that money is the point. I've yet to see one car priced at 18,19, 20k + to actually sell for that money.

To be honest, I think that was a fair price and sold accordingly. First realistically priced car that's been on this forum for a while!

Yea agreed and as regards EGR etc, delete that anyway if not already gone. Not required. Mine passes emissions without it by a country mile

You got charged €738 to weld some box section the underside of your car? Lol

Strange about the fuel pump ecu, I run mine as stock on the plugin through the fuel pump ecu. What issues did you have?

The full prop too? 6 speed prop is 4 bolt front end and splined in the centre. Also will raise the question on large diff/small diff and associated rubber coupling, although this can be "bypassed" with success and patience
