This thread seems a bit confusing but basically Supras don't cost £12K anymore. Sell your Civic privately, buy a Supra and have plenty of change left over. Funny as I was thinking of going for a more modern car and your thinking of getting an older one.

I was surprised how expensive 16" tyres cost I ended up paying £100 each for continental sport contact for the fronts last year. You can still get them easy enough though, if your local tyre place doesn't have them they can almost always order in what ever you want or at least that's what mine said last year. Have you tried the online tyre places to get an idea of price?

I've only been a few times and originally thought as a 'tourist' it was ok and still think there is a certain degree of charm to the place. However since I made the mistake of driving there once to see a play a friend was directing and missing the entire thing due to traffic I pretty much hate it. The place is filthy, Paris/ Toyko in fact everywhere is spotless in comparison, the traffic is a joke, there are far too many people there, everything is so expensive that it has its own category 'London Prices' . As for the tube well cattle get transported in better conditions so public transport is nasty but so is everything relating to owning a car so your essentially in a lose, lose situation. Not for me.

The scam could be anything it could even be a way of getting your e-mail address and obviously ebay user name so they can try and get into your ebay account? I just got another email from him as so far I have pretended to think they are genuine. l'll pay you thru Bidpay Postal Order in which u will recieve the money in 2-4 working days........... I did put on the ad UK bidders only but they still bid! I was so annoyed yesterday that when they said please give me a price for shipping to Nigeria I said it would be £85. I got an email today saying: Thanks for the reply, l never knew posting to Nigeria will be that high, but l'll still go ahead and effect payment cos of the father -son tie. l'll effect the the payment and they 'll notify you by your email. Sounds like a scam where they want you to ship abroad and they pay you with stolen money out of someone's bank account that got the details from phissing. I am absolutely sick of these fraudsters! What ever you are trying to sell they are there with their scams.

I have offered a second chance to the next bidder but not got a response yet. Luckily they were only £5 less than the Nigerian. Rayman I'm not sure exactly how the various scams work, some are very clever but yes its normally dodgy/fake/stolen postal orders or cheques, money from bank accounts where phissing has been used etc. Either way you end up with payments not clearing etc normally after you have posted the item. Lots of the other scams are ways for them to get money out of peoples bank accounts were phissing has been used without being traced.

I sold my old mobile phone on ebay and the auction ended today. In my advert the postage costs were shown yet I still got four e-mails asking for the cost of postage! Then as I understand Rosie has also experienced I recieved this tonight: Hello, l happy to the winner of your auction item. l lived in UK , but am presently in Bangladesh on a special assignment. I think we might start seeing more of these threads as they get older. I do feel sorry for you though. But as Justin said this has mainly been caused by mods.

Mine does this sometimes. I bring the clutch up and push it back down again and its normally fine, if not I put into first then reverse. Sounds silly but your mat isn't under the clutch pedal is it?

Sorry to see another damaged car, it doesnt look too bad to me but its never nice to go through this in any car. Did the auto change down unexpectedly?

The Supra is my only car so definitely not, in fact thanks for the reminder its due today! But even if I had two cars I would still keep it taxed for those lovely cold, dry sunny winter days.
