Make it a project and spray it yourself. If you have to buy equipment, like compressor, then expect the cost to be around or less than £600 to spray your car in full black. The major cost will be getting a suitable compressor (you can get a 9cfm 50l compressor on ebay for less than £200 and it will be sufficient to do your entire car). Black hides a multitude of imperfect spraying, and your work will definitely not look like Baldy's work. However, it will look better than it is at the moment, and you won't have to spend thousands of pounds that you will never recover. If you want a full colour change, much of the work is the prep work. Once you are committed to doing the prep work absolutely right, your final spray will look good, even for an amateur. Just choose the right paint.
  2. Like your current wheels, to be honest. Haven't seen it like that before and i think it works well with a white supra
  3. Welcome to the club mate. Am in Dulwich and we can hook up sometime. Best club in the world, and I can build an entire supra myself based only on things I have learnt here, and I am no mechanic. Become a paid up member and your supra ownership days will be blissful and cheaper than any other car you have owned (unless you start going single)
  4. The search button is your friend. It's been done to death before, by thousands of people. Don't be lazy. I did mine purely by searching out what i needed.
  5. And i was complaining about UK road taxes, lol.
  6. No carbon ridox spoiler Paul. Thought you said they were going to be ready around this time?
  7. I have a brand new one. PM me
  8. But Jamie's was uber cheap at £30k. The problem is that since the supra has become affordable to people with just £3k, most of the owners now are people who cannot spend £20k on any car, regardless of make, year or model. Sad fact, but true. So when a true steal comes along at £20k, everyone wants it, but no one can afford the lump sum to buy it at one go, here in the UK. Which is why most of them are now making their way over to the continent, where the £20k is a bargain compared with going prices over there.
  9. I agree. R34s sell for £30k all year long and people still buy them like mad. The fact that they are all later models than the supra helps, to be honest. If there was a 2004 or 2005 supra, it will be selling for more than £30k as stock.
  10. Am interested too. One of the few singled supras i will ever buy. Am not contemplating going single from bpu when i can wait and buy something like this. And save myself over £20k in the process, rather than start from scratch.
  11. This is mine, blasted and thoroughly rust proofed, along with the entire underside of my car, diff, all suspension arms, driveshafts, and hubs. I have a spare untreated one if you can collect from Kent for £30 or pay for postage.
  12. You will be back in another one within 4 /5 months time, mark my words
  13. Classic where is my boot thread. Some people should be banned from Supras and given Corsas instead.
  14. Waiting on you, Paul. How much longer?
  15. Use POR-15 first and then stone chip it in Tetrasyl. The POR-15 can literally be brushed or sprayed directly over the rust and will kill it. If you want to go mental or anal (like i am doing), then wirebrush the rust out, and spray Metal Ready on it first, wait until bone dry, then POR- 15. Am doing my car at the moment, and will do a writeup of my build later.
  16. But thats a seriously sick supra. If only mine could look like that. The yanks have a way of making their supras look better than a Ferrari
  17. I can give you one of those.
  18. Lol, indeed. But seriously, how did it end and which cars took part?
  19. Engine's done about 81k miles and had a cam belt and water pump change last 3 months
  20. Guys, as i am rebuilding my crashed car, my bpu tt engine is out of the old shell ready to go into my new shell. While it is out, what should i do to it to refresh and keep it in tip top shape? Am already powder coating some components, like the turbo pipes and cam covers, plus changing all oils and cleaning it. My Engine doesn't come out of the car often, so what should i do to it while out? Ps: no suggestions about going single, as i don't want to. When ready, will buy a proper single built by Lee P or someone else. Cheers
  21. Lol, how did you think she got all the pretty clothes in the first instance? By emptying chaps wallets
  22. Group buy. Am number one on the list. How much?
