    SRD Speaker Brackets

Wondering if I can get a pair of these?
  3. 5400 rpm is pretty standard for laptops - means that there's no 7200rpm monster overheating and draining battery. It seems quite overpriced, i'd recommend getting elsewhere. Ebuyer and Dabs tend to have good deals going on similar laptops (i'm not going to say get the SAME laptop as I haven't checked what they have in). Scan also has good laptop deals. Generally speaking getting a laptop online is cheaper and nowadays is just as safe as getting one from a shop. If you're not a serious user of computers then fair enough, get it from a shop so that you can take it back easier or get advice from the technical staff there, but with that in mind you probably shouldn't be getting one with such monster specs. Having slammed it i'm going to add the following so that you don't think i'm just a twat: Good sized HDD (although do you need 1TB? I've got 3TB in my PC and only use about 400GB as everything that isn't an executable is stored elsewhere) Good amount of memory Good processor Looks nice Not a terrible graphics card for a laptop Not the worst screen in the world Finally remember the old saying - "friends don't let friends buy from PC world"
  4. My experience with Paul Brown cars was good... touch wood. Only got the Sup last week, made an offer under asking price and wasn't haggled too much up to a nice compromise. Was delivered to me in Leeds the very next day (the same day was offered, but I was busy that evening) and came with 6 months tax and 12 months MOT. Car was in stunning condition and a completely unmolested model as advertised. There are a few niggles which i'm just going to put down to the age of the car as opposed to any deliberate wrongdoing - the windscreen wash jets don't work, electric folding mirrors don't work and there are some missing screws - but other than that I can't find a fault with the car yet. Of course i'll still be trying for the next few months! Good luck with your buy =)

    Brakes

Great news I believe all the parts are just bog-standard stuffs.

    Brakes

Undoubtedly i'll be changing them at some point, but I need the car this saturday and I don't want to risk it; I can't think of anything more dangerous to screw up because i've not got the car on a driveway/in a garage and i'm rushing it!

    Brakes

So much as I want to do everything to my Sup myself, I decided that brakes were one of those safety things I should really not take the risk on, so I got a quote from a place in Leeds which is meant to be a Japanese Import Specialist... £150 to fix the squeaking brakes sound ok? I believe they're going to be fitting new discs and pads on the front for that price too. Also on a sidenote, anyone had any experience with Rising Sun Motors?
  8. Actually look quite attractive minus the... Yeah...

    SRD Speaker Brackets

Sorry to sound like a dunce, but do these mounts keep the speaker in the same position? I ask because I want to keep the door looking as it does now - hiding new speakers behind the original covers!

    Love your Supra?

Mine's my daily drive... Maybe it's because i'm new to owning a Sup or maybe it's because i've idolised these cars since I was about 7 but it's just always so FUN to drive, even in traffic! Also i've taken it on my M1 a couple of times since getting it, not even beasting it, just cruising and listening to the hum of the engine.
  11. That was priceless, though with the sheer level of stupidity involved I'm hoping they're fully aware and are epic-trolling? Mine pulls away faster than that, and its stock NA! Nothing compared to a TT of course, but at least mines still 3L.
  12. As the title suggests, i'm after a boot blind.
  13. I'll bite, lemme know if westy882 doesn't want it.
  14. Uh.... black? He can't remember, and i've only seen them once or twice.
  15. Damnation Time to look for some decent wheels then!
  16. So my mate is scrapping his beautiful beautiful Mk iv golf because of a host of problems... I've told him he's mental, but he's doing it anyway. He's offered me first dibs on the wheels though, and I was wondering if they'd fit a Supra? It's at a garage at the moment as it's failed it's MOT and he's not getting it fixed, but we're fairly sure they're between 17 and 19 inches.
  17. She arrived... And she's beautiful. Stock in every way bar radio head unit and runs like a dream. Only thing thrown up on the MOT was the rear tyre tread, but they put some good seconds on to see it through. It's been a mental couple of days away from t'internet but I'll post a couple of pics once my friends send them up to me!

    Door Card Screws

Absolute Supra-novice, but this might help: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-MKIV-2JZ-Parts-Breaking-Everything-/170697216246?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27be58d0f6#ht_500wt_1413 Might be worth contacting him.
  19. That's nasty man, hope the guy fesses up! I'm lucky enough to live on a cul-de-sac (not a posh one, but a normal road with a massive brick wall halfway down...) and the curb juts out a bit at the end of the road - conveniently directly outside my house. Offers some protection...
  20. Marc, your old supra was about 122k. It was still a beautiful car don't get me wrong and i fell in love with it as soon as I saw it... But up close I don't think the current owner was as good with bodywork as you. He had the know-how to fix the mechanical stuff himself but that may have been the problem as I don't. The silver one with 78k won't have anything done to it except new wheels. I might make the dash a bit nicer depending on the condition, but panels tend to fade and as it's in factory condition I expect there's some things I'll want to do. Oh also in memory of marcs red'un I might spray it red, as this will be the first car I've owned which isn't red and I don't think I can live with that! Red cars go faster. It arrives tomorrow at 1700 and I'm very excited!
  21. So... so.... SO GLAD that you all approve! Yeah Paul Brown looked pretty respectable, service was great and the guy I talked to (whilst not Paul himself) was very friendly and helpful. The mileage is 78k, far below the other one. I'm feeling much better, thanks for the advice everyone.
  22. That is one beautiful car... Anyways i've taken everyone's advice and got out of the sale. After a chat with the parents and my brother in law, i've gone and put a deposit down on this --> http://pistonheads.com/sales/3235444.htm It was my second choice for a while, and with 12 months guarantee, free delivery and £3,650 I think i've got a good deal. I'm much happier buying from a dealer, and job constraints mean that I can't go anywhere during the week or the weekend! Pleasesomeonereassureme!
  23. Oh... I don't have permission to access that page
  24. Ok you've all convinced me... I still need to get a supra soon though - the courtesy car is only mine until Friday it seems.
