Finally. the surface is smooth and even -- lovley then it is just to smooth the surface with 500grid -800grid -1000grid an polish the hole thing to at perfect shine:clap: but set it to dry for a week or 2 before
-
when the first coat of epoxy resin is dry . skuff the surface bag wery lightly with a 180grid. just to take the tops off the resin ... DONT mess with the fibres this is after 2 or 3 applications and then you just keep doing this procedure over and over and over again.. to the point were its totally smooth and non of the fibres i poking true, the surface

year .. i´d realised i have fucked the upload up
-
thats that when al of the parts ar covered in carbon .. let the dry over night so it isn´t gonna move my work space (a spray booth ) and the gray beast in the back NOW:Pling: comes the business part comes.. mix your clear Epoxy resin 2:1 and with a soft (wide) brush apply with "dapping" it on . NO brushing it on that will disdurb the fibres
-
start cutting the carbon matt out in pieces. big enough to every dash panels .. and when the Epoxy is ready .. lay i down on the panels. and push it gently to the epoxy trim of the edges back 2cm from the panel edge. so there is some fabric to turn around the edge so the front look like this
-
thats bad ! any one else have that problem ?
-
so then i filed the front side with bondo/filler. to level out the metal plate with the front panel next step, is to get the part ready for the carbon fibre mats.. the panels have to be blackish in order for the carbon to be 100% black like this when the black coat is dry sand it with a 180grid paper then its time to give the parts, and ligt coat of epoxy resin. and let it dry enough not to stick to the finger..
-
hello guys , just want to show how i have done my center consol. so i dont have the gauges all over the place Starting by sanding ALL! of the "rubber skin" of the panel.. trimed the backside, so the metal plate fit like this and this front Then i glued the metal plates to the panel with at strong sealer. and dryed it over night.. and i dont have it in picture. but i´ve drilled the holes for the guages ind the metal plate after the sealer had dryed..
