  1. Keron is a short trip up the Motorway in Leicester?
  2. I ran Porterfield pads on my J-spec brakes and surprised most passengers with how good they were! Speak to Paul at Whifbitz for more info and prices. The only downside was they were race pads and squealed a bit if they had not had any recent hard use and were very dirty. Performance from cold was good but when warm was really good.
  3. JM Imports are the place to go, I bought my car from Paul at Whifbitz and he occasionally has a car for sale.
  4. Last time I saw Daz he was driving a Smart! Hope you are fella, will pop in next time I'm passing as haven't seen you all for ages.
  5. Hi Dan, No pics to help I'm afraid as the car is long gone now:-( As far as seatbelts go, we had to remove mine as the cage was fouling the top mount, but I had harnesses anyway. Be careful of peoples "opinions". There are lots of opinionated people on here. You have a specific reason for putting a bolt in cage in your car, end of debate!
  6. When I bolted mine in I found the rear inner arch bent to the shape of the plates! As Simon says worth upgrading the bolts. Make sure you get it all lined up correctly and decide if you are cutting the carpet so the main hoop touches the metal work. Have seen these just placed on the carpet and bolted through. Not sure that is to be recommended! The process I used was to cut the carpet and put the main hoop in, but not drill any holes at this stage. We assembled the cage in the car completely before drilling any holes and adjusted until everything was in the right place. Then we drilled the holes! good luck.
  7. Everyone lambasted me when I put heat shields on my side exit system! Why did you go with twin pipes on either side? You need to get RLTC if not already fitted and have the window open when you boot it.. The pops and bangs will put a big smile on your face. Do you have any pictures of the system before it was fitted? Interested to compare it to the Whifbitz one I had on my supe. Enjoy!
  8. I'm sure all the attention will disappear when you tell us you are really called St eve ;-) Oh, and welcome
  9. My tyre guy puts the tyres on from the back rather than the front so if there is any damage it's to the inside, not outside!
  10. Mine felt no different with the front brace in or the rear one. Pure bling in my opinion. The same goes for the brake stopper.
  11. Gets my vote. Keep it stock bodied and maybe a bit lower once you have some wheels to fill the arches. Welcome.
  12. Oh, I will be away on the 14th so won't promise to try and be there only to not turn up................again!
  13. Just watch out for the speed bumps on the way in if you haven't upgraded to Xenons! They are virtually invisible on stock j-spec headlights, as I found out to my bumpers detriment.
  14. I got hold of one from JohnD on here that sat between the battery and headlight. He makes the odd batch now and again.
  15. Surely black will radiate the heat better? Or is it just a wives tale?
  16. I'm sure Paul at Whifbitz can get these. Seem to remember something a while ago from him. Yes, here it is http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=251949
  17. No pictures from me. As above she never even sat in it!
  18. I think Paul at Whifbitz still has one or two Side Exit systems available at a great price. Once warm they are nice and quiet until you give it the beans!
  19. I can't help that I spend my entire life driving up and down the country whilst trying to do a job in between:-) Bit p'd off that I have missed the last few. Always a good laugh at these. Hoping I will back up North in time for this but depends on how long a customer demonstration takes.
  20. In London in the morning and got to come back via Newbury. If I'm back in time I will be there.
  21. Haven't the ZZ3 been replaced by ZZ5? I put some ZZ5 on the back of the merc estate before it moved to pastures new and they were very good.
  22. Welcome. Over your way soon, family holiday this year is Williamsburg! Piccies are liked on here lots!
  23. Just so you know, speak to Paul Whiff about front bushes as they had some special ones made that gave Steve a bit of extra camber when in euro saloons.
  24. Sorry guys, didnt get back up North until 10!
