Was it with the HKS ecu or some thing else? You just had this probelm in genral or was it exactly the same?

It was doing it on the dyno the day it was mapped, it was the reason we stopped the mapping session so its not that, thoght id give the HKS one last go, or il go Syvecs.

If you had the same, why did you say it was boost cut? or is that just what ryan told you it was? Il give him a buz in the morning. If it was boost cut it would cut at peak boost which is about 4krpm, boost doesnt increase with rpm once peak is hit, well if it does, some thing is wrong lol

How can it be boost cut?? :s confused. It does it on low boost 1.2bar and high boost 1.6bar. My team mates what ever low or high he runs also. I see some guy in china had the same problem, said he changed the ecu in the end, I'm thinking maybe it's to do with the switches in side the ecu.

Going by the name id say its there replacment for proberbly the best Toyota ever made!!! AE-86! Iv been down my local dealer about one of these, they want £500 deposit to go on the waiting list, there are 3 being deliverd to most dealers in the UK, most dealers already have over 4 people on there list! Id be the 4th at mine if i went a head, but im not putting any thing down until they can confirm a price, speculation of these getting closer to 30k now is putting me off!! 20k was alot more apealing!.

This is the only vid i can find, its a bit crap at about 45 secs, it starts with the machine gun limit for a sec then does the bang bang bang limit.

Brand new coil pack electrical plugs, coil packs and plugs fitted before mapping. Compression level accross the board. Its defo not a miss, iv been trying to find a vid to show but i cant lol. Its like antilag haha

It was mapped by Greg at protuner, both cars wer, aswell as the ones we know which do work. We have both been back to try differant fixes. The rev limmit on both cars are set to 7krpm. Some times in 1st and 2nd gear it will hit the 7k limmit, which sounds like a machine gun, the premiture cut is like half the speed and more of a bang bang bang.

Hi guys, Wondering if any of you know of this problem? I have a 2jz GTE 6spd Jap spec ecu and loom fitted to my car, running a HKS f-con vpro gold! Now its mapped to just over 600hp but im getting a premiture rev cut about 6200rpm, some times sooner and under less load it will rev higher. This is not some thing that has just come about, its been there since mapping, i have tried crank shaft sensors and cam sensors to no joy. Also my friend hase the exact same problem on a 1jz vvti engine, with the same ecu!!! Yet we know people running the same ECU on the JZ engines with out this issue!! The only differance we can see is the others we know do not have the extra cruise control throttle. (i have removed mine and using a 80mm throttle) So any one know of this, any way of fixing it?? other than fitting syvecs? lol

power, weight, 0-60 is all irrelivent!!!! ONe is RWD one is AWD!!!! AWD was invented for people who cant drive real cars!!

I doubt itl be the V160 in there? as its 4x4, it may be the nissan gtr box which is the getrag 6 speed (v160) with a transfer box. But fitted witht hte toyota front housing. I know the guy who mapped this, and done some work on it, it was down at his when i took a car down for mapping. Dont know the company name but his name is Dave and he drives a classic panda ae86.

Hi, Im going to put this up for sale if i can get the right money, so i can go Syvecs. Its a HKS F-Con V-Pro Gold ECU, a few little scratches but works perfectly well, running 607hp 615ftlb on my car ATM. Comes with: HKS type II Map sensor and harness HKS/Mazda air temp sensor and harness HKS patch harness for Jap spec twin turbo 6spd manual 2JZ-GTE (may fit uk models but not sure) the harness is less than 7 months old. This lot cost me over a grand, considering this sort of item dont de-value £870 for the lot is a bargain. Paul

When going on to full lock the pump was stalling causing the belt to jump off, mid corner at 70mph is scary!! Also the way the ps pump is mounted on the JZ engines, it relies on the AC compressor to support it, i have romoved the AC, i did make a braket but the pump still flexed under high rpm, so now i have made an even stronger one.

A place in aylesbusry called QED (quallity electro deposits). No non got buggered but iv had a few small washers go missing before, think they get throgh the gaws on the draining presses. Well the car is 1590kg as stock, obv iv removed all the weight in the seats, airbags, heater box etc but iv also replaced the alloy v6 with a cast iron 6 cylinder, added turbo, intercooler etc etc and the cage which is about 80kg The 350z/350gt are a heavy car, the chassis members are huge, with loads of bracing etc

Thanks Ash Ok just got back from having it weighed!!! Shes a fat fook!!! lol 1463kg!!! Front 835kg 57% Rear 628kg 43% Drivers side is 10kg more than passenger side!! 1544kg with me in it!! Thats with a prety empty tank!! Realistic target figer for next year???? 1350kg maybe???

As said in my 1st post in this thread today....... I was thinking of selling it and moving onto some thing else through out the year but in Portugal it worked and I came 4th so it's given me some confidence that it can work!! Throgh out the year iv had endless problems with the car, mainly power steering and transmission. Iv cured the power steering by fitting a 350z pump. So over the winter il be doing the following to make it a hole load more awesome!! Handling is prety bad and it feels like a bus to drive, so il be fitting/making fibre glass doors, front wings, rear 1/4s, boot and bonnet, chopping out all the metal I can with in the rules! Also to level up the weight loss and make it handle better I'm shifting weight around in the car for better distribution by moving the rad and other things to the back. Il also be remaking alot of things in light weight materials. Steering lock is a major issue with the car, loosing out in qualification due to weak angle so il be doing alot of work on the front steering and suspension. The car is going to be corner weighted next week so I have an idea of what iv got to work with and then compare it afterwards. Il also be fitting a v160 6spd box, this will be much better suited to the 3.4:1 diff I have now, which is alot of the problems I'm having with blowing boxes, ATM pulling away in 1st is like 2nd gear as it's so long geared! The other thing I'm going to do if I can afford it is change the hks ecu out for syvecs and go for closer to 700hp. To help with the power I'm hoping to freshen up the engine with rods, pistons, springs and cams. Right, I'm off the rob a bank lol

That was up till about a day and a half before the 1st round, this little update will be up to then So i rushed the Lexan windows but was really happy how they came out I was gooing to construct some sort of frame to hold the top of the door window in but only had time for lock wire, it works really well so will be staying! I had the guy nex door knock up me a knob on his cnc lave as i couldnt find one to fit Then it was time to tackle the lack of steering lock I took to the stock rods with the lave Bump stops with and angle grinder and ta da, still not great but a huge improvement! Then a few shots out side before it got dark and the rest was finished like fire extinguisher, harness etc Note the rear lexan window, only pic i have Then after using the car a few times it came apparent that A) no single or twin plate clutch would work so in went a tripple B) i had a major gear oil leak so i fitted a -6 breather in the box wich stopped all leaks But the tripple plate clutch done this to 2nd gear (nothing to do with my angry driving):wack: so now im looking for T56 or V160 conversions, some thing i didnt want to do until the end of the year! And i also got a differant bumper for when i dont want to bash the nismo one

Cheers guys!! Time for a well over due monster update!! last thing i done after the front splitter was fitting the mesh tot he bonnet! Tiger seal FTW! Then fabbed up the screamer pipes and got a mate to tig weld them The next morning it was up to Greg at protuner Yes that is all below 5750rpm Then streight from protuner to the bodyshop, literally 6 hours later Then the 4-5hour task of masking the Falken design This is all gun finish BTW, no polishing atal At this stage i was quite worried it was going to look crap Its like a hole new car By this stage i was very excited and pleased how it was looking

Then today i set about making some protection for the front bumper Ply board FTW!!! Quick release, 3 R clips and its off!!

Japspeed sent down some D2 brakes, but only had Subaru rear kit and 200sx front kits to send me, so some modding was needed, the rear disc PCD and bore wer wrong so got corrected!! Also none of the brakets lined up so they all needed chopping drilling and tapping! Japspeed also got the 4" core coolers back in stock so one of them went on Also loads of other little jobs done getting it ready for mapping and paint, not worth taking pics of! Exhaust properly fitted while on the ramp Arch rolled
