yes as its no secret the universal 6 speed rwd type samsonas can be ordered new for around 5500euro if remember correctly The shifter is another 500 euro. You will need the adapter plate which is another 500-600 euro. Then all the labour and propshaft etc The Full sequential version is around 10-11K, but anyhow if anything breaks parts can be ordered. For actual prices just go and ask at samsonas motorsport.

Hi guys long time no see but yet not forgotten Has been a long time since last post but promised to share a bit around our 6speed. Last year we got around 1200NM torque on the getrag witha 7675genII on x amount of boost. We found the inputshaftbearing didnt liked that amount of torque and started looking for a box which on paper can hold this amount of torque, and shave off some weight and we didnt want to change out the carbonetic tripple carbon clutch either didnt we want to change out the diff. So lots of things we didnt want to change and spoke with Dan Burkett, maybe some of you have heard from him in the past but he likes to drift his supra long story short we chose the samsonas 6speed, contacted the samsonas europe sales department they sent me through my nearest dealer. discussed the goals and requirements and then our own chosen gearset got fabricated. Certain rpm limit chosen to give a figure on speed per gear. Our revlimit is higher so speed will be higher per gear so this is just to see something. v160 1st: 3.827 76km/hr 2th: 2.360 123km/hr 3th: 1.685 172km/hr 4th: 1.312 221km/hr 5th: 1.000 290km/hr 6th: 0.793 366km/hr Samsonas 1st: 3.000 93km/hr 2th: 2.000 139km/hr 3th: 1.500 186km/hr 4th: 1.190 234km/hr 5th: 0.962 290km/hr 6th: 0.760 367km/hr We choose dropgear 1.040 weight of the box is around 38kg ex 2ltrs of oil Box can handle 1400+nm torque lee at Srd did everything for us from installation and fixing issues to get this working properly on our mkiv platform. J3 bellhousing and adapterplate was required including getting the propshaft in and some other small hardware. As a proper gearbox mount needed to be designed and fitted. Along with the gearbox upgrade we finally had room to make some more torque so we decided to go the alcohol route. On e70 and 2,6 bar we pushed 1400 nm torque with 1300bhp. car feels very solid and shifts like a charm its a total beast now last month we tested our new setup in zweibrucken half mile first run for me ever with this box and torque misshifted with the box second run went better hitting revlimiter (300,04kmh)5th gear going over the finish line so we had room for more speed in 5th Contacted Lee and he remote gave us a bit more rpm so we took it for another run and easy 303,09kmh now need to grow some balls and use the flat shift system as this 303,09kmh was on easy shifting car can go faster in current state.

Anyone know the estimated time of arrival in Calais ? Like other years we plan on leaving early thursday morning to wait for you to arrive and join from there. -
We installed the seats and very happy with the end result. The supra sits now at 1452kg with a 100% full tank the old seats weighed in at 13.8kg(thought really that they were heavier, but it is what it is), the weight saved is around 18kilos. These seats give so much support when strapped in they're like a mold, we'll see how it goes when we' re driving to Calais coming week, see how we come out after a long trip:)

Looks so nice can't wait to get them installed:cool:

Hi there Chris real sorry to hear that your mate has suffered from an incident by using a carbon fibre seat that has been insufficient in order to keep the driver safe, as Richard said you can find all details on their website. I feel your concerns with CF seats but it aint stopping me installing these lovely B7's.

Finally, came back yesterday from sea and me miss had them boxes stored at home so we could unpack them together, happy as a child We ordered a set of Tillett B7 40's with the TBF5 side mounts. The B7's weigh in at 3,7 kg each according to Tillett Racing seats. we unpacked them and the headrest padding was already installed same goes for the mounting accessories so think that is the 100 gram addition as we weighed them on scale the scale measured 3,8kg and the side mounts 1,1 kg per seat. Still pretty lightweight if you ask me with an overall weight of 4,8-4,9 kg per seat. The quality is 1st class we did a little video so you can see yourself, Hope you enjoy the video, trying to get these installed coming weekend hope we can add some pictures to give you an idea how they look in the supra.

Long time no posts but the supra is still alive going for the 4th season this year since the build at SRD!! Still going strong we (me miss and I attended the half mile event in France last week we did this for the first time ever. We were lined up in the 600-800hp class We made over 10 passes and our best trap speed was 235,3 km/hr. There will be more in it if we change to 18's or 19's but anyhow nice event and we will be going back to reset the 235,3 ;-) here some pics and vids.
