Ok so we have to back track. If no work was done to the cooling system prior to this fault and the 'few jobs' entailed the fitting of a connector pipe and re-wiring the new sensor, I would look there.

Have you played with the link meter at all? connectors in the right ports and check the settings for each gauge via the link meter?

About 2 months mate. Had a few spirited drives and no adverse signs as yet.
