This has now been sorted. Throttle body removed and given a good de-gunk. Seemed to have cured it. Quite a common fault and cure on these.

Hi folks My mate has a 2000 MR2 Roadster which has idling issues. (cuts out whether cold or hot) but drives ok. Does anybody on here know where he can get an Idle Air Control Valve replacement and how much they are? Cheers Mike

Mine are seized too. Even bought some mini-needle nosed mole grips - still no joy. Just spins and loosens the valve from inside the wheel as well as marking the stem Seems I have the Chuck Norris of valve caps.... Off to buy a Dremmel this morning.....Stand by, Chuck..stand by...

Was it you behind a car at the traffic lights who, when clocking another Supra (mine) heading in the other direction decided to floor it once the lights changed, over take the car in front and nearly drive into me as you struggled to control the vehicle? It's tools like you give the rest of us a bad name. Prick.

Indeed I try select spaces away from vehicles with child seats in them as I've seen them wanged open by kids and mothers alike with no regard for other peoples vehicles. I suppose you can forgive the little-uns but the parent/ guardians need to get a grip. I hate coming back to my Supe and discovering fresh dings

I used to have a 2.2 vtec 'lude for about 4 years. Loved it. Only things I had to change were the VSS, exhaust and Battery. As OZZ stated, the weak point was rust. Especially around the rear arches. The Vtec is awesome too, particularly when you've got an aftermarket filter kit installed. Sounds lush!

Hi All I'm Mike and I'm a Supraholic! Serving in the British Army, currently in Afghan finishing off a 6 and a half month tour. Three weeks to go! Tintarwebs is slow and unreliable but better than nothing. Missing my wheels like mad ('94, JapImp, Silver, N/A, manual, Veilside kit on 18's) Had a look around the forum and seems really helpfull.
