  1. LMFAO The first relevent fighter he comes up against in a long time and he gets outted. I just hope this doesn't derail the fight with Overeem, as he is a beast just now. All credit to Werdum, that triangle was beautiful. Maybe now that Fedor no longer has to worry about his almost flawless record (technically this is still his 2nd loss) he will pit himself against the biggest and best in the business.
  2. Thanks for the offer mate, but I don't want them anywhere near my console now, thats 3 times Ive sent it to them, each time costinga minimum of 65 quid. Besides I've already paid again to have it sent back, hopefully I'll find a company worth their salt. I'm waiting till the console is returned before going down the legal route.
  3. Little bit of an update, I recieved this email in response to the one sent above. Hi James, your console has not been worked on and no one has requested further payment. I have this machine sitting in front of me now and there are 3 broken seals on the console, the one at the back has been completely removed, and the lid locking screw has also been removed. James, it's very obvious that someone has been having a poke around in here. Those seals are put there to detect tampering and protect us from scammers, if the seals are broken then you warranty is void - the very same is true with Sony themselves. We unpacked this the other day in this condition and it was logged on the ticket at the time. If you feel that this is unjust you will have to take legal action. We have all the evidence of tampering here and the email logged. We will also monitor the internet forums and keep printouts of threads in the event of defamation - you are not the first person to try and scam us. We will also have to arrange returning the console to you. As you can see, great customer service. I've never scammed anyone in my life, so for some yokels to tag me with that, it really P!sses me off, plus the fact I don't have the knowledge or the tools to even open one of these things up. I have requested my unit back, as I wouldn't let these clowns near my Gameboy, never mind my PS3. IF anyone can recommend a competant company for repairing consoles I would be greatfull. I bit the bullet and went out today and bought the 250gb slim, going to stick the reciept on the fridge this time round.
  4. If I knew how to work the cooker/oven downstairs I'd have done it myself mate, but knowing me I'd forget about it and wreck the oven and the station in the one go
  5. I never thought mate, was in too much of a rush to get it out and sent back. It has got me thinking though, the robbing coonts are probably sending back other units.
  6. That will teach me to keep hold of receipts How would that work if I was do go down the trading standards route? Should I pay for the console to be returned just now or what? It's something that I have never done.
  7. I bought it the day it came out mate, so 3/4 years ? I doubt Sony would entertain me tbh. I'm tempted to just pay the £55 just to get my console back, I'm now over £200 out of pocket and no better off, in hindsight I'd have been better off just buying a new one.
  8. Oh poop, I really should have researched them before sending it off. http://forum.teamxbox.com/showthread.php?t=602178
  9. If anyone of you ever have a problem with one of your gaming consoles, please for heavens sake, DO NOT send it to the clueless bunch of cowboys. A month or two back my PS3 developed the YLOD, now my console is like my life support machine, so I wanted it fixed asap, so after a quick google, I opted to send it to them, as they were fairly local, and rather well priced too. Big mistake. So a few days later, I recieved an email saying my console was now repaired, and that I owed them £55, including postage back, so I duly paid, wentout and bought the new UFC game and waited. A few days pass and finally it arrives back, I take it out of the box, wire it up and turn it on.........."fantastic I'm back in business" I thought, so I opened up the new game slide it into the bluray drive and crunch. A horrible nasty grinding noise from the drive This wasn't there before I sent it, but I was thinking that maybe it has been caused in the posting system, or maybe it was something simple such as somehting not connected back up properly........£65 later I have a new bluray drive fitted and the console back. Here is were it gets really annoying. I recieved the console back last Wednesday, fully operational, So I spent most of tht night on MW2, I never got a chance to get back online till the Saturday. I had the system on for 5 mins when it shut down with the YLOD again! So rather p!ssed off, I boxed it up, put in the warranty form, and posted it away. Now today I've just recieved an Email requesting another £55. and a message saying that 'All warranty stickers have been removed, warranty is void, Photographic evidence logged' I'm totally fooked offf to say the least, As I'm 100% sure the stickers were intact when I boxed it up. I'm at a loss to where I stand now as well, as it's basically my word against his that the stickers were removed or not. Any advise would be appreciated. Do I just pay the £55 and hope that is the end of the matter? Anyway here's what I sent the clowns. I've just recieved an email from you requesting a further £55, as apparently all warranty stickers had been removed, despite the fact that both stickers were fully intact at the time of posting. To say I am sickened is an understatement. I sent my item ps3 to you with the yellow light fault originally. I recieved the console back, with a knackered blu ray drive, that was fully operational when I had sent it. Now, to be clear I am not placing fault on yourselfs, as it is possible either My courior (Royal Mail) or you courior could have contributed to this whilst the console was in transit, so rather than kick up a fuss, I dished out a further £65, in the hope that I would be back in action asap. However I recieved the console back last Wednesday, I racked up around 2-3 hours of gameplay and bang, the yellow light fault again, and thus here we are. I find it absolutely shocking that I'm basically being accused of tampering with the machine, and being charged £55 for the pleasure of it. I can't say I will be recommending yor services to anyone, and I most likely will be posting my expercience here on the multiple forums that I frequent. I'd very much like someone to contact me tomorrow on ***********, I can sort payment out over the phone and that will be the end of it as far as I'm concerned. I am very dissapointed by these events, but I see no other way of venting my frustrations.
  10. Nice car James, not exactly an M5 though is it? Just spotted this on wiki During its five years in production, there were some cosmetic changes in 2001 to include: * Revised headlight design incorporating illuminated "Angel Eyes" (incandescent glass rings surrounding the headlights) * Jewel tone Celis tail light design * Park Distance Control sensors in the front bumper (previously in rear only) * Thicker three-spoke M steering wheel identical to the one fitted to the E46 M3 * Grey instrument panel * Improved solar sensor for standard automatic climate control * Revised navigation/audio unit with larger (6.5-inch) monitor (Standard on US Spec 2001-2003) * Rear head protection airbags added * Second-generation M Mobility tyre repair system in place of earlier version * Available M Audio System with special tweeters, Kevlar/carbon coaxial speakers and two subwoofers behind the rear console * Alcantara headliner included with Extended Leather interior (previously only included with Complete Leather) For the subsequent two model years, changes were limited to the addition of new exterior colors (from 9/01 production) and the upgrade to a DVD-based navigation system (from 9/02 production).
  11. If it's black PM ScottM, he said he'd have it.
  12. I think you are off yer head mate. You said in other posts you had most of the bits required to get it back running, bar a few missing parts and a few hours labour you are willing to lose thousands? Can't you just grind it out for a few more weeks? Would be worth it in the long run, even if you chose to sell it immediately after fixing it, it would be worth at least 3k more, surely it's not gonna cost 3k to get it running again? There is nothing worse than being in debt, the only thing worse is throwing money away imo. I hope you get back on your feet soon.
  13. CW fast road pads for me too. Maybe upgrade to braded hoses at the same time, I noticed a considerable difference.
  14. I'm probably wrong, but was looking into these a while ago, I think off the top of my head the fully facelifted ones are 2002 onwards.
  15. I think he's gonna be putting in some lenghty posts, and is probably not wanting it cluttered up. How's the CS going? :d:d
  16. Dunno if it's been mentioned yet, but checkout Sickepedia. Free app.
  17. Fair play to the bloke who done his full dash, it is by far more difficult than it looks. I found that applying it was easy enough, but getting a finish that I was happy with was not. It's very tricky laying it withough putting creases in.
  18. I think I paid £250 for mine, that was 3 years ago, and it's flawless to this day. It was however about 20mm short of clearing the back bumper but it has not left a mark on the bumper, and mines is silver so would be more noticable than most. It also came with a free UK double decat, sold that on for £50 so technically it was only £200 Here's one here with 4hrs to go http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MKIV-Toyota-Supra-93-98-TRD-style-stainless-exhaust-3-/230485015237?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35a9fa3ac5
  19. Depends how handy you are. I buckled at the steering wheel cowling
