  1. what kind of Supra are you looking for?
  2. I'd say they look better than the chrome and should be easier to look after - great result!!!
  3. I'll be honest when someone locally told me a few weeks ago it could be worth around the £13k+ mark, I chuckled a bit - the prices for these have gone up massively in the last few years but after seeing a manual n/a go for about £8k recently I guess that's where the mark is. Well before I do put an add up, the mapping needs to be done and I'm going to get a very small bit of rust sorted and the entire car detailed so she will be running 100%. Thanks fore the replies everyone, very much appreciated. Simon
  4. Nice one, thanks Zeiretto

  6. I was looking at SC a few years back but for the cost and knowing I was only keeping it to sell later on, I couldn't justify it. Think it was a Bullet SC I was looking at? - - - Updated - - - Agreed - let me compile this over the weekend and post
  7. tooquicktostop - decision is already made to sell, PM me Annabella - it is an N/A V8 yes.... if it was a TTV8 I'd rather sell my kidney lol
  8. Hi Everyone, So to give you all some background, had the car sitting in the garage these last few years and now it's time to sell and move on, but trying to gauge what kind of price to ask is proving a little difficult so thought I'd come and see what you lot think I could ask. It's the THOR V8 Supra, now with HKS fully adjustable coilovers and 18" wheels - all running fine and new clutch. Getting her mapped start of next month so everything will be as it should. Edited to say she has the R154 manual gearbox, aerotop model. I've added some pics for reference (apologies they're not the best) but wondered if people could give me some thoughts. Thanks in advance!!
  9. Hi everyone.... It's been a few years since I last posted, I've been hiding but I am the current owner of the above. She's been off the road but is now being sorted.... I have a question seeing THOR engineering seem no more: ** What clutch is it on there? I've taken the clutch off (see pic) and there are no part numbers or anything. I've been told before it's an MR2 clutch, or a Celica S202 but I'm hoping someone can tell me for sure what it is so it's not a case of buying and hoping it'll fit lol. She has a R154 gearbox. Any help greatly appreciated!!
  10. I had it up for about that last time Westy, but you're right it's a hard one to call as I know the silver one on here is still for sale so the market for v8 Supras now must be bad lol. The clutch is from an s202 Celica from speaking to THOR. would be easy to price that up plus the cost of seals. Would also look to get the running issue sorted or at least cost up so that might help reflect the price?
  11. Well, due to a couple of things happening in my life I might have to get rid of the Supra..... It was up for sale a while ago and it didn't go for what I wanted it to so I kept it. Since then my luck of jobs hasn't been great and I've gone through 2 redundancies so I haven't got the cash needed to fix what's wrong. The issues are: Needs new clutch. Needs new roof seals (£300 from Toyota) and there's an issue when changing gear above 3k RPM as it hesitates until it's at 3k RPM then all's well again (could be some sort of limp mode?). It's also just ran out of MOT and tax So my question to you guys is: what's it worth: * In it's current state? * With tax and knowing what the issue is with the gear change (the other options are a few hundred quid to fix) * Fully fixed (this is a remote option) Here's the spec and some pics: Engine Specifications: 1UZ-FE 4.0L V8 315BHP, 355lbs of torque Large PWR Aluminium radiator with Twin SPAL electric fans Fuel, Tuning & ECU: Link G2 ECU Exhaust: 3" stainless exhaust Drivetrain: R154 5 Speed Box TT6 big case LSD THOR R154 to 1UZ-FE gearbox adaption kit (upgraded model) Bespoke single piece propshaft (made by Dave-MAC propshafts, nuneaton) LSD Suspension, Wheels, Tires & Brakes: Rota SVN's copy of the Rays RE30 Full SUPER PRO polyeurethane bushes throughout TEIN Superstreet coilover suspension (ride height and damper adjustable) UK Brakes Front And Rear Interior & ICE: Thor Stainless steel dials on dash and blue LED dash light conversion Really don't want to be doing this but when priorities much bigger come along you have to.
  12. A guy was looking into buying my V8 and apparently it cannot be done unless the engine is..... damn, it's either younger or older than the shell..... I think the latter but as I type this I can't remember. Damn it, not much help!! But it's one of the two
  13. I'm 33, driving since I was 18, have about 9 or 10 years NCB and pay just over £650 fully comp for the manual v8 Aerotop. £4500..... they're screwing you up the wrong un, dry!!!
  14. Japlover

    hi..:)

another fine example from JM Imports.... looks stunning mate, best colour too - any plans for her?
  15. 2 things I don't like - BGW - replace with standard Interior - although done to a high standard, just not my cup of tea. Seems a nice car though apart from that
  16. 1 for me..... but I have a V8 with about 300bhp so how does that work?
  17. My mate had his wheels re-furb'd at a local place.... it pays to go somewhere where you are certain you'll get the wheels done properly. Mate had his cocked right up in different colours for a month or two and I don't think he was 100% satisfied atall. They ended up changing all 4 wheels to match the 2 they done up so the colours matched. Just do your home work on any garage, see previous work if atall possible. I don't know Ibrar in anyway, but have heard good things about his work and seen some pics. worthy of a call surely.
  18. For me, aggressive would mean a nice deep dish, rolled arches would help the look. I think that if budget isn't a worry, CCWs all the way, fantastic looking wheel.
  19. I had "yellow" plastic lenses when I picked up my old GTR, I used tooth paste, there are better ways with polish and that, but if you want a quick fix, use some tooth paste.
  20. they'll just brush over it with some sort of "discount" only available to women.... conveniently.
  21. Well you're not far from High Wycombe..... PBC maybe? hahahaha - I joke Mods, I joke.....
