  1. no havent, car doesnt leak/use no water at all though, and i think that would be bit of a worst scenario even if it was that? will look at the plugs and get new water temp sensor.....
  2. i havent got a AFR gauge un-fortunatly no, and no i have not pulled a spark plug out to check if its wet or dry. i was going to order a Water Temp sensor from toyota tomorrow, on the weekend i will try that and also check the spark plugs, then report back..... ive posted on driftworks few people say from the video it seems to be flooding.....
  3. I would imagine fixing the hewt sheild easier than wrapping the exhaust. Iv no clue on the starting issue im sure someone will advise...
  4. Boost comes on later, And car souds suprisingly different. I prefer sequential
  5. how would i check them? ive experienced that on an old car (200sx) where when warm one of them used to fail which would create a miss fire, On the Supra though, after ive driven the car for half a mile the car isnt warm, yet still does it...
  6. if i just go for 2 minutes down the road. or after a 10mile trip. basically whenever i drive the car it does it. only time i done have the problem is when its a cold start
  7. Checked the diagnostics and there are no saved errors
  8. Ive got one you can have mate Pm if required
  9. Update: its NOT this. tried doing this made no difference. the battery is fine and full of life, so not that either, starter motor is spinning fine and dandy. back to the drawing board. it does start, just takes a few gos to catch..... PS i am using the throttle also to assist
  10. yea i got you mate, its not im too tight, i literally spend £100s on the car, just dont want to waste it thats all i will try the new battery to see if that over rides it. ive also just had a PM, if i try the diagnostics port, connect Fp to B+ that'll give the pump 12v, if it starts then, that points to the fuel pump ECU..
  11. well i say the battery is on its way, the voltage is fine on it. 14v when running, and high 11 when ignition is on (my turbo timer measures it) it just turns over slow IF the car has been left standing for a few days. other than that it turns over fine. plus if ive done a long drive the battery is full of beans and has no problems turning the engine over, its just the car wont catch. (it could due with replacing this winter though)
  12. is that the fuel pump ECU? or the main actual ECU? your symptoms same as mine yea. anything i can test to verify or bypass to be sure? or shall i just go for it...
  13. If i check for error codes will that help too? Hmm water temp sensor, i have changed the radiator recently. Used my existing/old sensor in the mew rad. Wonder if that disrupted anything....
  14. the battery is pants in mine, ie if car isnt used in a week itl be dead. by battery is fine on cold starts tho and turns the starter fine so i think i can rule that out too... so can we sumarise what i need to get or test please? new plugs, coilacks, and maybe a cps? isit a fueling issue or spark issue?
  15. i had my idle vale off a few months ago and cleaned it all out then so wont be that. its not asif the car is getting hot after a short trip, i can literally go half a mile to the shop following a cold start, come out within 5 mins and it struggles to start..
  16. car doesnt overheat no. thanks for input guys, but im still no wiser as what to ? a new cps? i do try blipping the throttle tp try and get it firing but still no. (havent tries flooring it tho)
  17. idles a little low when its warm. again, cold starts are great, coudnt ask for better. its only when warm and short journeys, i can change the plugs to see if that rectifies. anything else possibility? car drives fine, its just this starting episode...
  18. cold starts are fine. if its the mornings itl fire straight away. over the last 2 weeks though its got this issue, if i drive a mile to the shops, it will never fire 1st time? it takes 2, 3 maybe 4 times ti fire. the starter motor turns fine. i can only describe it as the starter motor does its job, the car starts but dies before it actually fires to life. (you dont just turn the key and starter for ages and ages and nothing happens) any ideas? or clues?
  19. i havent foud the leak yet no. getting the gaskets to try that :-) can you get them seperate?
  20. does anyone know the part number for the intake manifold gasket, also the throttle body gasket, and the idle valve gasket please (think its iacv) thanks in advance
  21. How can you tell thers over pressure in the rad? When the cars warm and you remove the rad cap warter is suppost to gush out
  22. just have a look and see if nothing obvious has come undone, or there are no holes/splits in any of the small vacuum pipes
  23. have you checked all the stock vacuums? and the vacuums to the boost controller?
