  1. ordered the Teins, will i need a compressor to fit them on? or are the new ones a lot shorter and just slip on. (have done it by compressing them by hand on prev cars) or is the stock supra sprigs eceptionally strong. PS know you have to be carefull when removing the old ones so they dont shoot off and explode when you undo the top nut lol
  2. yea just been looking online that their not expensive new for stock. after lowered ones though looks like they all come in sets of 4 so prob will just do the whole lot found these seem to be tidy enough http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-Turbo-93-02-Tein-S-Tech-Lowering-Springs-/230659419158?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35b45f6c16#ht_1921wt_1186
  3. ok great. na and tt are different judging by that site? found these think il get http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Supra-Turbo-93-02-Tein-S-Tech-Lowering-Springs-/230659419158?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35b45f6c16#ht_1921wt_1186
  4. yea ive looked at my existing ones dont know what make the existing ones are. are na and tt the same? yellow bilstein shocks fit same ones that dont have yellow shocks?
  5. mine has snapped. need some new low ones. are the tt and na the same fitment? also i have yellow bilstein shocks will these go with all springs?
  6. update: snapped coil spring. co insidence after new tyre :-) anyone have a set let me know
  7. thanks mate. tyre looks brand new.. regarding the balancing, the guy said it was out then said it was ok after he adjusted it. iv jacked the car up there does seem to be movement in the wheel when testing the bearing though. im going to take it to my normal garage who do my tyres, and also get the bearing checked. it feels like when i had a bearing go before so i can imagine it being that again. guna get a new hub for it if it is that again...
  8. ah mate get a grip not chekin tyre pressure ffs, doesn mean my cars shit. i spend hundreds on the machine as soon as something needs doing. i dont know whats the matter with some people on here do you get off running people down? really spoils the forum.
  9. not that i cant be bothered, just something i dont do as often as should. just been to local garage to check pressures, he put 35psi in the new tyre! he even asked me what i wanted in there and i said 30. juut topped all the others up, were on 27. lot better, doesnt feel as in-direct or hoppy as before, steering wheel is still pulling to the right though? il take it to my local place for a geometry check, i havent had the geometry set since had the bearing changed, and was on the same tyre
  10. boost prob, no not yet, filled the engine with air still cudn find it then, im guna get new intake mani gaskets tho soon, waitin for my mate to help me 1st tho on tryin to find it (hes a aircraft mechanic) anyway back to topic on handling lol
  11. i havent checked all the tyre pressures no. he did re balance the wheel yes, as when he put it on the machine with the new tyre he said it was way out. he asked me what pressure does he want me to put in the new tyre, i said 30 psi, i havent checked the rest of the tyres in the last 6 months id say, but i normally put 30 in.. the car was fine before yesterday, and there are no noises from the bearing. just feels not very direct on the back, bit crabby
  12. so i finally got round to fitting a new tyre yesterday. when i say new, it was a part worn, bridgestone, lots of tread on. fitted it on the back, passanger side. after 20 mins i noticed that the steering wheel wasnt straight any longer, but it was turned right slightly right, when the car was going straight. the back end felt a bit "hoppy" and also twitchy, felt exact the same when the back right wheel bearing had gone. i had the rear passanger side wheel bearing replaced about a year ago, maybe the other side has gone now? can a iffy tyre cause such a feeling? or isit co-incidence one of my wheel bearings have gone just after ive got a new tyre?
  13. no, it all goes straight together
  14. dont forget to keep the front of the pump as a brace for the PAS pump
  15. yep mine is white, had a few cars, this one defo gets the most attention, big white clean & loud
  16. Grids, UK brakes, 17x9J et25 all round
  17. sorry, only got round to doing another boost test yesterday, tested the turbo side this time, still coudnt hear where its coming from. going to get gaskets next and then hope for the best. wierd though, as i set the compressor to 20PSI yesterday and youd think it would make the whistling sound somewhere, but nothing
  18. hi guys havent been on here today. i will get new gaskets lol i will get intake manifold gasket, idle control gasket, throttle body gasket. on the turbo side: the ones on the intake pipes. also gone test the fmic on its own incase that got damaged somehow when was removed. only re used as read several people on here did. going to do another boost leak test on the turbo side to see if can pin point which one is. thanks for all coments this thread is the onky thing ive got :-) we wikl find the leak lol
  19. double checked the vacums, all ok there, i also removed the IACV housing, to check the the reed was closed, and it was. im going to do a boost leak test again next week, i couldnt do one today as didnt have a compressor. the noise does come in later/quieter when the car is in TTC though, im 75% sure of that... again, vacuums all apear fine and correct...
  20. il have a go on my vacuums now, il put the stock setuo back. ie remove boost controller. report back later
  21. i think so mate ye, not as soon and promenant
  22. put car in TTC mode today, car still does the noise. seemd slightly quieter tho, but not much (not sure if it was in my head, or just because the exuast was louder) think im going to remove the air filter, and make a boost leak tester from there, and see if any leaks show in that area. car boosts fine though just this bluddy noise
  23. the arm is connected to a plate, the plate then touches the screw. the screw has 5mm of thread showing then touches the metal plate, as per the pic.. ttc mode and maybe try another boost leak tester at the air filt, so it tests all that side
  24. bugger. will try put in ttc mode and see what happens
  25. right ive looked at the adjusting screw. MAYBE i did play about with this on accident when removing all the pipe work before, im not sure as was few months ago. anyway here is how mine is set at moment.... there is about 5mm gap.... does this look set wrong?, shall i wind it all the way down to ensure the butterfly flaps inside are closed (not sure if i can set it too low) doesnt look like i can adjust it while its still on the car so may have to remove it to adjust...
