  1. I do hope your not talking about me!! Adam
  2. That, and "It's in my pocket" got me a D in French, Over the moon I was!!
  3. où est mon cochon d'inde peu
  4. When they show the original on tv now they redub it "Boy", makes me laugh in a sad way
  5. Just sorting out the template now Chris. I've tried to look into carbotech pads, but all the different numbers confuse me, I'm very simple at times! Why can't there just be a set number for the pad when it becomes available for different platforms. Just ordered Porterfields all round, Paul has said these are the same used by a few companies, including AP. Far to confuzzelling for my little brian.
  6. It is a sad day when we have to re-write such classics because of today's perceived political correctness. The book was written when these words were hugely prevalent, and part of the accepted social culture at the time, and I agree with the comments here along the lines that the book, written as is, gives us a snapshot of the deep south at that time, and is a valuable lesson for us all as to living in a social harmony redundant of colour or creed. That said, I do like a good racist joke, and it doesn't matter what colour is the butt of it
  7. I've just tried to get a set of the bars, http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?236311-Front-Bumper-Side-Brckets-Part-Number-required. Could become a problem!
  8. Does he do them in this fitment? I have a template and dimentions, so I'll email him tomorrow
  9. I had a screen shatter on me at 50 mph in a train I was driving from a stone flicked from a ballast cleaner coming the other way. To say I pooped myself and ducked like I was in 'nam is an understatement
  10. Cheers mate, they seem to have a very good friction coefficient, but when I checked them out it says not for road use. Couldn't find any temp details for them though. Was looking at the Pagid's, but have seen they smell harsh after a good drive, and not sure about the carbon based "Black" models, whether they are suitable for normal discs, and what effect they'd have on the paint from the dust
  11. I'm currently looking to change all the brake pads on the car. Have been running EBC Yellostuff Pads all round, which to be honest, were good, but have just bedded in the fronts (300 miles, mainly motorway) and the rears are halfway through their lives (been on 18 months ish). Now they seem to have lost their bite, and am using a lot more pedal for the same braking in the car. Will be ringing Paul up in the morning to order some Porterfield R4S pads for the rear, but I'm running Hi-Spec Monster 4's up front, and need some info on pads available. The Yellostuff were DP4002R's, and Hi-Spec list a few different makes and models here; Monster 4 & 6 Racing R132-4 & R132-6 Part Number, Make/Compound Price (£) Excl. Vat PADDP2002, EBC Greenstuff DP 2002, £44.01 PADDP3002, EBC Redstuff DP 3002C, £54.24 PADDP4002, EBC Yellowstuff DP 4002, £52.68 PADDP5002, EBC Bluestuff DP 5002, £57.95 PADFRP216H, Ferodo DS2500 FRP 216H, £108.29 PADFRP216R, Ferodo DS3000 FRP 216R, £116.58 PADMDB129244, Mintex 1144 MDB 1292, £72.24 PADMDB129255, Mintex 1155 MDB 1292, £92.06 PADMDB129266, Mintex 1166 MDB 1292, £95.81 PAD7767971744, Performance Friction 97 7767.97.17.44, £139.50 PAD7767071744, Performance Friction 01 7767.01.17.44, £139.50 PADE1361RS42, Pagid Blue RS4-2 E 1361, £129.00 PADE1361RS14, Pagid Black RS14 E 1361, POA PADE1361RS19 or 29, Pagid Yellow RS19 or RS29 E 1361, £162.00 Does anyone know anything about the other pads, excluding the EBC ones, or any alternatives I could use. Adam

  15. If you get your money back drop me a pm mate. May be able to do a deal on my engine without the loom for you.
  16. Just to update, Have fitted a non squeaky aux tensioner, and a new Gates aux belt as well as refitted the Rota's on the rear. Will take some more pics when I have lowered the rear back to a more aesthetically pleasing height!
  17. Beautiful but of kit Jamie, shame to keep it under the car!!
  18. Just been to Toyota Leicester to order these, the right hand ones are available £17 + VAT ish, but the left hand has been discontinued and no more stock.
  19. I've got a set of 3 in the van. One of those, a 4 draw on top af that and a 6 draw flip top. Used daily in the van, full of tools that I can't be bothered to clean when I've finished a job! Great value for the money. Even the non ball bearing ones are pretty good, all seem to have a good build quality
  20. Hi and welcome, Not here to burst the bubble, but if your struggling to raise more than £5k for the car, you may want to rethink slightly as it's not day to day running costs anymore, these cars are getting on now. If you hang on for the right car, you MAY be able to get a TT just over your budget, a member on here, TopgunTT has had his up nearly a year, and was itro £5.3k, so it may be possible. Hang around, look all over the forum, ask questions. It's a lovely place to be. How come your over in Switzerland, do like the place, but everywhere seems to be uphill!!
  21. Breathe deeply my friend. There are a lot of people on here who can help, but, if you bite at the slightest thing they will just keep feeding you until your banned. It's happened to quite a few on here, with regards posts and pm's to people. We are a loving, caring community, but don't suffer fools, especially Branners, who has a dislike for swearing and poor grammer and punctuation (a very good thing IMO). As you are on his radar so to speak, you might want to ease off on the slagging of members who have contributed to this forum for a number of years, and have seen many problems, including the ones your having. I only live up the road, and, if you'd like to swap some parts over to help with diagnosing your problems, feel free to pm me, I'm off all week and don't mind assisting members in need when I can help out.
  22. Yes Sakey, The ones that fit in behind the bumper and go through the arch.
